Happy St Patriks Day

It's safe to say Chico has run the show in this thread, some excellent posting.

Thats right Mr Toccy, I'll pulled their pants down a bit here...

I'm from southport and theres a pub on the outskirts - which on st Georges day used be decorated from head to toe in st. Georges flags and guess what - the year before last the council banned them from doing so - fearing it would be offensive to certain people :(

Come on Steevie, we know its you.

In fairness H-man, thats not a good example.

Bradford is largely Asian, whites are in the minority there, and given the recent events there its probably good not to host what could be construed as a provoking march. Pretty much similar in Northern Ireland on the 12th July when the Protestants want to march down routes which are mainly Catholic residencial areas.

However, with England being a big place Im 99% certain it wouldnt be a problem elsewhere just that people like to use this Bradford example when its not applicable elsewhere.

In short: theres nothing stopping them.

Ooooh, I made a post, then made some tea (chicken breast stuffed with Calderdale cheese and bacon wrapped in more bacon, served with potato boulangere and cauliflower) and came back to carnage... well carnage ish.

Bradford has the 2nd largest asian population in the UK but it is still a minority. (Ethnicity: 78.3% White, and 18.9% S.Asian).

So while there have to be thoughts to those of other ethnicities, it isn't (or shouldn't ) really be an issue.

I think the main problem, as others have already mentioned, is that most of us really couldn't give a keff.

I am too clever a person to become embroiled in arguments with antagonistic individuals. Test someone else's patience Ghost. (y)

Oh whatever pal, your obviously too much of a melt to realise I was just joking with you. Up to you, I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.

Strolling on...

yet they could about St Paddy's day.

Best thing you have said all Afternoon/Evening. Jogging on sounds much better though melthead! :D

Just what is your problem? Just a note. You caused this mate, you didn't see the funny side and you decide to dredge up stuff that doesn't even matter.

So are you going to stop being a bender then and just be a little light hearted. I don't think your racist or a close personal friend of Ron Atkinson.

Brownie is right. Both of us are being benders and i am stopping here and now on this thread. I have remained light hearted, i just cant work you out. I place smileys in to signify a joke and you take it all serious Ghost style. You dont generally like smileys but its my way of showing you it is nothing personal. I end my involvement on this thread now, you please yourself.

Sharia Law comes to Southport. We'll all be wearing veils next. (y)

Have the town elders in Southport done anything to stop Orangemen spewing their rings up in Wetherspoons yet? :coffee:
