Happy St Patriks Day

I personally tend to see St. Patrick's day as a Guinness fest rather than a symbol of patriotism.

And as for me celebrating my English-ness without fear of retribution - I'm counting the days to next years world cup (if we qualify) so I can furnish my car with those tacky little st. George flags out of my back windows - and travel around this sceptered Isle (or is it septic:P)with a smile on my face (cue land of hope and glory)........ until we get knocked out that is:D and then they get slung back in the shed.

Annual Southport St George's day bash. Case closed.

Looks boss too.

I'm from southport and theres a pub on the outskirts - which on st Georges day used be decorated from head to toe in st. Georges flags and guess what - the year before last the council banned them from doing so - fearing it would be offensive to certain people :(
