Ha never seen this,so here goes.
Started my fitness program back in early december, I weighed 15 1/2 stone.
I run 3 days a week.
Day 1, 10 miles.
Day 2, 10 miles.
Day 3, 15 miles.
In addition this weather permitting I do a 25 miles on the bike.
I now weigh a healthy 12 stone.
No gym's, no macho drinks,no fitness videos, etc.
Total outlay about £120 on running gear.

Awesome. Keep it up mate!

I've been to the gym 3 days running for the first time in a while. Not massive sessions, just 45-60 mins.

Yeah I'm going to try. 30 days of sport though...in a row....sounds tough

I've spoilt it all by asking Carlos what I should have for tea. He said chips.... I gladly accepted :)

That's good going that. 15 miles of running is a good effort. Not far shy of a marathon. This time next year?

Great stuff here. I'd love to be able to run, just can't do it. Hurts big time

I ran to the Fraggle Rock Lighthouse last weekend though, that was fun

Anyway...

Ah yes. All it takes is to hit them at an angle and you're off. Had a tumble or two on those in the dry so can fully appreciate how dodgy they are in the wet.

How bad is the bike?

And I had to swerve onto them sadly, didn't have a chance really. Luckily the car behind me stopped sharpish.

Taking it to the shop Saturday mate, both tyres wouldn't turn so hoping its just things are bent rather than broken!

First full marathon, all being well, should be the bournemouth one in october, doing a few 10 k runs and the a couple of half marathons through the summer. Target is under 4 hours.
London to brighton bike ride in september too. Target under 3 hours.
All for charity.

Is there clearance between brake pads and the wheel? Can sometimes knock the pads out of line a bit. If you've got a quick release, try loosening off the brakes a bit and see if the wheel spins better then.

Nice one. London to Brighton could be a challenge in that time as I hear with so many folks doing it that there can be a lot of waiting around. Think it's a shade under 100km so 3 hours could be done, but it's going some (I'd be pleased enough with that).

Haha. I had burger and chips for tea, whoops!

That does indeed sound tough! I'm back working on site this week and the combination of manual work and gym is a bit tiring.

London to brighton is 56 mile,so i need an average of about 18.5 mph, yeah the traffic is the main issue.
Hoping they have a fast lane, otherwise it's going to be a tall order,or the maniac approach.
Here's hoping.

Anyone got any advice on DOMs? Or in other words, why the **** are my legs still in bits today after squats on Sunday?

Been watching the Call me Maybe Squat challenge video? I knew I wasn't the only one.

Reporting back after two weeks.

I've switched onto a paleo diet (as suggested by maddison) and have found that I have more energy, am well rested and the clothes are becoming a little looser.

I have done my normal daily lifts and have added a bit more cardio then I'd done in the past. Do about 2 miles row for warmup followed by 15 mile cycle and a revamped core workout.

Feeling good, can't wait to feel even better.

What's this paleo diet mate? I need more energy!
I'm ****ed after 10minutes on cycling.
