No. The true vile individuals are people like yourself who are incable of a reasonable discussion and only resort to name calling and accusations of racism. It's a very worn and tired formula that simply does not work and hasn’t for years. How can the modern left possibly win anything with a pathetic attitude like this? Information is key. It is this pathetic attitute that has lost critical thinkers in droves over the years.

If I replied to every single comment I’d be here all day. Sure, there’s obviously certain unemployed and the odd furloughed members that are here and have the time. But that doesn’t apply to me. Plus, the main points I've already said in other posts.

There has been a massive demise of the family unit within the black community in the U.S since the 1960’s. From 80% two-parent households to only 34%. This is a massive factor and needs fixing.

One of the main factors in crime: https://www.bjs.gov/index.cfm?ty=pbdetail&iid=4472

This not only effects crime, but the well-being and mental health of the individual growing up in single-parent households.

Change can only come from within in this regards. Why is this part of Black American culture? I don’t know.

Add gang culture that appeared in the 1960’s, and you can understand why black crime has skyrocketed.

We should all agree that in the United States:

*Black American crime statistics are an absolute disgrace.

*Blacks killing each other in record numbers are an absolute disgrace.

*American Police brutality in general across the board is an absolute disgrace.

*The cops responsible for the murder of George Floyd are an absolute disgrace.

Telling black children that they “live in a racist country” and that “they are oppressed” and everything is “racist”, is not only a lie, but also helps nobody and causes division between races.

Telling black children that they have all the opportunities in the world in the United States, (including the potential to become President) might motivate them to become part of the 800,000 black millionaires in the U.S.A. Or at the very least be part of the 80% who are not in poverty.

So, essentially, any grievances black communities claim to have are in their head, they are violent because of their own culture, and the best thing to do is nothing? Would that be a fair summary of your post?

I just dont have some weird desire to make out that white people are evil scum as im white and most people I know are white and guess what? Most couldn't give a toss what colour someone else is, what gender they sleep with in bed or what God they pray to.

Poverty is colour blind - there is no white privilege just the haves and have nots. The haves like to promote differences and groups in society based on ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion etc as they know people will be too busy engaging in petty tribal nonsense to actually come together and realise everyone is human and should be treated as one - and the haves who control most of the resources and wealth do not want that do they.

Until the day comes where we look at one another as humans and not colour, when we dont have events to "celebrate" who we are attracted to and when we dont go to seperate buildings to be told our God is the right one then you'll always have idiots who prejudice against others.

White privilege doesn't mean that whites have it easy or don't live in poverty. Obviously some white people will face social and economic disadvantages. White privilege simply means your race wasn't one of those disadvantages.

I can't speak for the UK, but being black in the US is a disadvantage across all aspects of society.

Sadly, I still think there is an undercurrent of racism within our fan base. It's not as big as it once was, but it's still there.
I agree. We should be forever vigilant and be courageous in confronting it if we see it. That's the Everton I want to be part of and I truly believe the club aspires to be.

Ones with dead people's names on from the place that were erected within 50 years of the war finishing, no problem go nuts.

Ones from the 1960s of Robert E. Lee on horseback inscribed "The South Will Rise Again"... Less good.

Mississippi really needs to have a look at its state flag also and no public building should ever be flying the battle flag of the confederacy. The bad racists.

So Germany should have erected statues to commemorate dead Nazis so long as it was before 1995?

Or should Allied countries have erected statues for Nazis/sympathizers since that be might more equivalent?

*awaits first mention of the Prince Philip

*Deep Breath*

50 years is an abitrary figure I pulled out of the air. I tried to balance it being in "Living memory" with the time needed for communities to rebuild, resructure and pay to erect them. I hope that clarifies it. I am specifically referring to communities remembering their dead. The cause doesn't lessen the loss of a father, husband, brother or son.

As to the Nazi thing, I am specifically talking about people who died in the service in their own communities or the place they fell. If I go over to West Flanders, the cemetaries for the Germans in WW1 are as well tended as for the allies. They aren't revered or loved like the allied ones, but they are respected as young men who laid down their lives in the service of something they didn't understand and had no choice over. A lot of members of the Wehrmacht were the same.

Finally, and perhaps even more controversially than that, Prince Philip may be a deeply unpleasant man but he was not a Nazi sympathiser. He served the royal navy with distinction and courage in WW2.
