We've been speaking about the UK. The society the vast majority of us here live in.

Surely some parts of the UK (towns / boroughs) white people are in a minority group.

Ive had it happen to me...many many times.

Ive seen it happen to others as well...

My personal view isnt important. I just dont understand how or why saying WHITE this and that is not racist in itself...

Surely people all have different life experiences...

How about the concept of being a target in non 1st world countries because of your race?

Are you suggesting that everyone who is white are privileged in Indonesia, Japan and other Asian countries?

Do you believe they arent abused due to being in an ethnic minority and targeted by police and have unobtainable career paths?

Nah mate some white bloke on the bones of his arse in Grimsby living off Universal Credit is all powerful and is never discriminated or exploited by the establishment.

I have a mate who lives out in Asia (non dogging in Thailand) and he says racism is very bad towards whites/blacks but you never really hear about it.

Racism sadly will always be around but its made worse when societies continue to seek to group/seperate people based on colour/religion/sexual orientation - end of the day we are all human.

The issues definitely correlate. I've said so already in this thread.

The term used in this thread has been white privilege. There isn't an issue of white people in this country being unable to get on in life due to being white.

Of course, like I've also said many times in this thread, there may be other issues stopping them from getting on in life.

There is a definitely a distinct lack of social mobility in our society. I know this personally.

I grew up on the estate next to Walton Hall Park. I've been lucky and managed to claw my way upwards. An awful lot of the people I now know in London are wealthy. The entrenched divide between the London and Liverpool circles I run in is vast, and it is wrong.

Have you been the victim or racial slurs or different behaviour in a negative way because of your skin tone?

This happens to white people across Asia.

So why would my different experience be less valid to someone of an ethnic minority group in a western country?

Im talking on a global scale here rather than just the US / UK.

How do you think black are treated in Asia?
China being a good example of this.

Because it's not limited to the US. It has happened and continues to happen in this country too. As I said in my first post, the death of George Floyd lit the fuse worldwide.

We are at a particularly low ebb when it comes to the quality of our world leaders. Good leaders tend to unite people and try to enhance the life of all and appeal to everyone for support. Unfortunately the leaders in place today seek only to appease those that already support them and tend to divide to conquer. Good leaders strive for 100% support poor leaders strive for 51%. Currently the leaders of the free world are striving for that 51%.

I don't care if "some" people are protesting because it looks good on their social media,they may well look for the next news worthy item next week,but if it convinces just one person who normally wouldnt bother then its worth it,I thought this country and this city were pretty much against racism but the amount of "all lives matter" shouts,the they are all animals,the whatabouttery of Lee Rigby just shows how its a very thin veneer between public and private opinions

You see the difference is that I actually read peer reviewed studies and produce an opinion of my own, looks like you've ignored the links I provided, otherwise you wouldn't have wrote what you just did.

Someone earlier mentioned watching a Netflix documentary to learn more about the race problem in America and one of them involved the Central Park 5 who were accused of a gang rape and sent to prison and were eventually found innocent.

I just remembered that in that documentary they mentioned Donald Trump paid some money to a newspaper and got them to publish his article basically wanting them to be executed and to bring back the death penalty

this man is now America’s president who has recently said that he will shoot looters

Trump is America’s biggest racist

No tbh mate but from what I've seen she's always flapping when the media ask her questions and doesn't seem to have a clue whats going on half the time.

I just wish there was a credible centre left party in the UK I could vote for.

Labour, Tories and Lib Dems are just woeful full of uninspiring characters.
