Society will never be equal until we stop categorising people into groups when we see fit.

I just find it tedious how if you're a white male in western society you have some imaginary crown that gives you unlimited power and can somehow never face discrimination.

Yet how many times do you hear women call men "players" or "dogs" "all men are the same" yet if a bloke calls a woman a derogatory or stereotypical term they are a sexist pig.

You hear "if you're white your opinion isn't valid on this matter" yet if a white person said "if you're asian your opinion isnt valid on this subject" they would be seen as a bad racist.

Being a white male isn't this magical thing its made out to be when you are attacked for all of society's ills and can not have an opinion on anything unless it fits a specific narrative.

We've been through this.

White privilege here, is the absence of discrimination due to your skin colour.

Obviously it doesn't preclude discrimination along other lines.

You're either being obtuse on purpose or the concept is genuinely beyond you.

Equality doesn’t necessarily mean that people should be treated EXACTLY the same. It’s about equality of opportunity.

in terms of validity of opinion, would you give equal weight to the opinion of a leading epidemiologist and that of someone with no training in the field on the subject of pandemics?

There are going to be things that you aren’t going to fully appreciate because you don’t have the experience.

My opinion on women’s rights just isn’t as valid as the opinion of my wife as I’m not a woman. I can be an ally, I can *have* an opinion, but my opinion isn’t as valid on the subject of women’s rights.

Just as my opinion of racism isn’t as valid as the opinion of people of colour.

Why isnt your opinion of racism as valid as non-whites?

This happens to white people across Asia.

So why would my different experience be less valid to someone of an ethnic minority group in a western country?

Im talking on a global scale here rather than just the US / UK.

is it a pattern for people “ of a certain stance “ to think their cynicism of the world and other humans is shared by every1. the lens their view the world thru is self serving and full of poison. the same type of people who if they end up wearing a badge end up murdering black men for counterfeit notes.

So they’re “virtue signalling” rather than ‘articulating a virtuous position’.

They’re just “trying not to be seen as racist”, rather than ‘speaking out about racism’.

How about the concept of being a target in non 1st world countries because of your race?

Are you suggesting that everyone who is white are privileged in Indonesia, Japan and other Asian countries?

agreed and on the virtue signalling it is apparent that awareness is certainly not a virtue of theirs. which leads them to their contorted views of the world and others. we must never allow their platform and together CRUSH them without mercy.
