There's good people on both sides
Imagine admitting that your "friends" are wanting the military to come into the city and "deal" with looters implying without due process. The irony is lost say you support the black folk but abdicate violence by the military.
Also that seemingly his friends speak for the entire city and possibly state of New York.
I would love to see anyone breaking the law arrested and given their day in court but wanting the military to go full on Marshall law and potentially shoot and kill people is mental.

im not a huge DeBlasio fan but this is not his fault. He’s no Giuliani.
De Blasio did what he was supposed to do love him or hate him. He called in all of the police and then the national guard when necessary.
Thats the procedures they follow.
So your friends hate him because he doesn't want other branches of military taking to the streets and going one further than crowd control.
There have been many videos thus far from New York of locals being outraged at the treatment of them at the hands of the national guard.
Looting is bad but. Burning down buildings is very bad. Brutalizing your citizens is criminal.

Thats correct, im relaying what multiple new yorkers said. Im not an expert on the topic myself.
What crowd control? There seems to be lawlessness and a general danger to businesses and human safety in many parts of US.

Those wanting anything but the national guard are not wanting crowd control. Or havent you and your friends seen what and why they are required for.
To go one step further than the national guard is to play into Trumps rhetoric. He and they want the main branches of military to do more than crowd control so if your friends support that then I am not wrong.
The cops and national guard handle that in times of emergency and it takes time. You think magically stops overnight.
Maybe clarify what your friends actually said and convey it better next time because it was nonsense what you posted. Maybe read up why people want more than the national guard and who those people are.

Frankly the virtue signalling and personal 'attacks' dont really get you anywhere.
People can see with their own eyes what rioters, looters, mayors and police chiefs are doing with their own eyes.
Amazing though that people support one cause and negatively 'attack' those with a different view.

Ive already done that and they have told me they need the military involvement to close in the rioters and arrèst them. Which is pretty obvious to those who dont immediately snap to judgements.
They also commented that a lot of the police look unfit, overweight and unable to handle the situation.
The military are fit, healthy and can operate in a hostile environment against people terrorising the general population.
Ive not just called around a bunch of supremacists who want people executed.
