Same, but just remember that social media isn't necessarily real life. The huge majority of Americans mourn Floyd and loathe the extremists who would burn our cities and murder our citizens for the sake of radicalism. Those who want to divide us often have big voices (politicians, media, agitators, etc.) but there are more of the rest of us. I do think we have pretty fundamental cracks in the foundation of this country and I don't think long-term worries are misplaced. But for now I think there are still enough ties that bind.

This coming on the heels of COVID doesn't help. It's distorted the world for many of us, but things will be better.

Speaking with a few friends/contacts in the states.

Almost all of them (regardless of ethnic background) are saying they want the airborne military units on the streets now. They want the rioters to be taught a lesson.

The minority dont know what to do even if theyre attacked in their homes.

I think everyone in the world agreed with the initial protests but this is a different situation now and action needs to be taken for the general populations safety.

The economy is going to be a disaster after this and covid (which is still there).
