The Democrats look very doomed in the House, but if we're being honest the Senate is what matters right now in the event that a Supreme Court justice resigns or kicks the bucket. That's unlikely - it's a young Court primarily because none of them were nominated at an age above 55. A couple of generations ago, it was fairly evenly split between members appointed young (William O. Douglas took his seat at age 40) and members who were +/- age 60 at appointment.
