In a nation that believes that all men are created equal, we still have large segments of the population that can't or choose not to accept this fundamental truth.

I also suspect that minorities in many nations are piped down by the majority.

Even the so called Neo Nazis of our society the alt right believe all men are created equal.

That's how fundamental a belief it is that we all share and a sign that the US and white people in particular being the majority are far better than anywhere else.

That may be true but if it is true that's not what the alt right believe so by your definition they aren't. The believe in segregation no different than Louis Farrakhan.

I'm asking what other countries put minority rights so front and center or soul search over their past crimes. What countries do as much for refugees that aren't of their culture, welcome immigrants etc

I was using Islam as an example but its not just Islam.

Eg Turkey under the guise of the Ottoman Empire committed genocide against the Armenian people killing 1.5m people. They don't even admit it happened.

I will leave the parameters wide. I think you understand my point so I would just love to know which are these countries or cultures that are better. It may be ignorance by me so I am genuinely being sincere.

Ireland, Britain, Belgium, France, The Netherlands, Germany, most of the Scandinavian countries, in fact most Western European nations have all taken in an abundance of asylum seekers and immigrants that are not EU nationals.

Aren't you a Brit living in the US? Have you been so indoctrinated into the southern conservative US lifestyle you have forgotten the problems in Europe and how they got to that point? Or have you simply had your head in the sand? If not then well it would explain things. World History, Geography, and social studies are not big with the majority of Americans.

Most Europeans countries accepted millions of asylum seekers in the last 20 years. Its only recently its gotten so out of hand that now a lot of them are pushing back and the people thinking maybe enough is enough.

I am pretty sure the alt right and Nazis do not believe all men are created equal. Pretty sure if everyone in this country thought that the 50's and 60's might have gone differently in fact US history might have been different overall.

No that's the 'alt right according to Richard Spencer'. There are many folks that identify as alt right and as white supremacists.

Spencer claims to not be a white supremacist, but also wants a white ethno state in North America. I have news for Spencer. He will have to go to war to achieve his goal and he will lose. Anyway don't get me started on that guy. He is a danger because he's just peddling the same crap white supremacists have always peddled just under the guise of some pseudo-intellectual ideology.

Islam is a religion not a culture or a nation. We have lots of American Muslims. In a nation where freedom of religion is a fundamental part of the American idea surely you wouldn't single out Muslims as some sort of unwelcome group.
