General strike/protest

What it MIGHT do, is get all parties around the table again so that sensible conclusions can be arrived at that are agreeable to both sides.

And that's my point......it might, but then again it may not....this government has no credible opposition and they feel they can do as they wish... If Hunt caves in after a few one day strikes he may as well resign...if however the voters, the patients and the general public make clear their views in support of the Doctors then Hunt will be dragged to the table....just an opinion of course......

If you know your history, you'll know that the Government of the day was in secret talks with the IRA right through the 1970s (and probably beyond). What actually goes on in the 'secret' world nobody knows at the time. The US Government was in talks with thei enemy througout the Korean war (and almost certainly before it started, and after the 'ceasefire'). Would you be really surprised if you were to find out that Western Governments were in talks with ISIS...?

And once the missiles are gone, what goes next? Think. There's more subtlety there than one expects...
Obviously governments are always in talks he's a bloody sympathiser no matter how you dress it up

I agree with the above, pete.

Good points, unlike some of the more reactionary posters on here, but if you are being attacked by good strategy then you need to develop a better strategy. Emotional response rarely works apart from on the football field, and even then the clever teams usually win. My comments have been directed at how to win.......

Good strategies? They are the passing tricks of a junta. As I said they are ideologically driven, helped along by the captains of industry that will either benefit, have a vested interest or hold similar ideals. Your Murdochs etc.

Were it a level playing field I would accept your point, as it is I stand by mine, there is no other recourse available. All others have been exhausted.

I hear this 'companies/vultures are waiting to snaffle up the NHS' line a lot. Who are these companies and what lends you to think they have such capricious intent?

"Recent school inspections on the Isle of Wight have raised serious concerns about the effectiveness of the council's support.

"In both cases, many school leaders have expressed the view that their local authority is not doing enough to challenge their institutions to improve."

66% of schools on the Isle of Wight were rated as rubbish by Ofsted. One isolated sample does not a case make though, does it? :)

I have a close friend who heads up a PCT. Most companies are non British, some have little to no experience in healthcare.
