General strike/protest

The nature of their profession, they're not allowed to. So why are you even asking the question? You sign up knowing that. If you don't like the terms and conditions you find alternative employment.

I would imagine that should there be a major incident requiring more doctors, during the strike, that doctors would actually choose to come in to work.

My question was not about whether it was legal but about your support...again I ask.....

So in a period of war, you would be happy for our armed forces to go on strike..........

This is a very poor response. So it's about how long the strike for.......why not just 5 minutes, or an hour or half a day....a patient can die in 5 minutes.....not everyone on strike can be covered by those who chose not to......it is a self serving action and for a supposed medical profession is an absolute disgrace......there will be people who die and people who's quality of life will suffer.......and the blame rests with those 'professionals' who withdrew labour.........
I never heard you being so vociferous when the government were cutting vital support to many vulnerable people, resulting in death and suicide. Where was your compassion for those who were suffering then? You voted in a party of millionaires who've just voted to cut disability support. Your argument doesn't wash.

To be fair mate, they've spent years at University and medical school so it's hardly someone taking up an apprenticeship.
Maybe your right just give them money we can find it easily from somewhere else.. Meanwhile lets back them to strike at the A & E probably won't be one of our loved ones affected hey. Doctors putting patients first!!! Respect out the window for them

Don't deflect. This is in the hands of the Doctors........Just answer the question........

Why do we need to find money? It's there and always has been. Maybe we can take it off the disabled? Or people on benefits?

Not all work a doctor does is saving life. Sometimes it's making people feel better/repairing broken bits. The junior doctor strike will be disruptive and inconvenient - that's the point of striking. Doctors not on strike will prioritise care for those with life threatening conditions before care for others. That is seen as manageable for the duration of this forthcoming strike.

And what about...

I know the answer, and so do you...... I don't see any difference between the armed forces or any emergency services....

Obviously you don't. Unfortunately for you, society does.
