The oddest part about Arya was the fact that she was dressed well and had lots of money the question is how?....

there are a lot of theories being spouted at the moment. looking at the preview for next week it looks like the waif spots arya in a crowd, suddenly clocks on that arya is still alive and starts chasing after her...

dunno whether that means anything but perhaps if true it means that arya magically survived and was cured and as she has already paid for a ship to take her away maybe she realises she has been spotted by the waif and starts legging it to the ship before it takes off and she just manages to escape...like i said who knows.

my initial theory before watching the trailer was that the waif had pretended to be arya and bought the trip to try and tempt the real arya out of hiding by causing a stir and that the old lady on the bridge was the real arya who stole the waif's face to mock her as she revealed herself to be the waif making the waif who was pretending to be arya realise that it was actually arya under her own disguise...very convaluted but as you can see my mind can come up with crazy ideas.

i think arya is acting the entire time and has a plan, was it not about 2 episodes or so ago that she saved the actress life and the actress asked her if she would ever consider acting and she kinda gives a nonchalent answer, it is clear arya loves the theatre and watching the actors and she is very good at acting and faking things if required.

the other poster with his theory about luring the waif into a dark alley to then spring a suprise with needle would be good had i not seen the trailer showing arya running away from the waif unless that is part of arya's plan to lure the waif.

watching the trailer few interesting points to note:

1. 25 seconds in, the waif's face....

2. 26 seconds in - cleganbowl - looks like one of the brotherhood is getting decapitated by an axe

3. 26 seconds in - looks like pod gets killed by bronn or bronn is putting pod to sleep ... actually it looks like it might be gendry???

3. 27 seconds in - lady stoneheart?

4. 28 seconds in - dragons have returned with khaleesi?

5. 30 seconds in - the waif is chasing someone and you see someone jump off a ledge wearing baggy clothing and longish brown hair just below the shoulder length

obviously there appears to be alot going on with the high sparrow at kings landing next week thats blatently obvious and looks like the frankenstein creation goes on a killing spree. in one of the scenes you can see the high sparrow talking to the king in the background as cersei and frankenstein enter the room, is the high sparrow going to be killed before cersei's trial takes place?

cersei did say she chooses violence rather than i suppose going about things the way they should ordinarily

I actually think the other theory is more correct in the way the program is written. Arya is the girl, or at least the other side of her. Like a split personality. One the real Arya and the other the side that wants to be noone. Hence why, when they are fighting in the street noone cares.

Like a inner battle between herself and what she will become.

But just a theory either way and not my own one.

i reckon theres more to this faceless man thing, surely he cant just be a mercenary..theres so much religious stuff to it

I just had a thought about something that has been bugging me about Arya and The Waif's relationship. Now they clearly despise each other. From Arya's point of view I can understand why, she's getting beaten while fairly defenceless as well as constantly being told she doesn't belong by The Waif. But why does The Waif hate Arya so much?

This has been eating at me for a bit. Is it because she just genuinely doesn't think Arya is worth of being a faceless man? Is she jealous of the attention from Jaquen? I feel like there is more to it than either of those explanations, I don't know why but I do. They just feel a little shallow when you look at the level of hate The Waif harbours for Arya.

So here's my tinfoil theory of the day. The Waif is actually Syrio Forel's daughter. She was recruited by the Faceless Men when The Sealord of Bravos kicked her out on the street after news of Syrio's death came back from Westeros. She knows who Arya Stark is, Arya Stark is the highborn child her father left to Westeros to teach how to water dance and Arya Stark is the reason her father is dead.

'
  1. Before the scene she was seen flaunting Money to the Westeros Captain in order to get the word out there that a young girl was on her way to westeros in the morning.

  2. Then she chooses an open spot to try and avoid an easy death check after the fight. (Bridge)

  3. We can assume she knows enough from training to figure the waif will attack to the body. So I believe she has 1 or more pigs blood pouches around her body. She knows where and how to do this because last episode...she saved the actress. The actress then provided her help to make the scene on the bridge large and realistic.

  4. She then leaves the water and leaves a trail of blood....to lead her enemys to her. Expecting an unarmed (because she choose not to show needle during the fight scene) and injured girl; they will instead walk down a dark alley and be met with an uninjured girl who knows how to fight in the dark and carrying a sword.'
@Tree13
Too bad this wasnt it because the real story line is dog turd

Also blackfish died off screen ffs

That was terrible, apart from:

i) all the Hound bits, but especially that hangings scene. "We are all getting old... well, you're not" made me laugh more than GOT has ever made me laugh.
ii) drunk Missandei
iii) the look on Jaime's face as Brienne rowed off

All of which were gold. The Arya stuff was just nonsense though.

Whoops! I just realized it is a GOT day, and was about to be opening some spoilers without thinking!!!
