I like your style pal! The only bit that I am unsure of is the first sentence of your third point: it makes no sense for the Waif to attack the body - she had a wide-open chance to slit the throat and didn't take it. It would be an astonishing leap of faith on Arya's part to PLAN for the Waif passing up a throat-slitting opportunity. I do agree that there is likely to be more involvement from the actress than we have seen so far, although it begs the question about what will happen if the younger actress (who originally paid the faceless men to have the older actress killed) spots Arya.

NEA anyway, just waiting for a Maisie Williams sex scene.

Jaqen tells her not to let Arya suffer, but she walks away and gives a wee smirk as if to say 'no, thats exactly what I'm going to do.' So she goes for the stomach to make her suffer as slicing her throat would be too quick.

  1. Before the scene she was seen flaunting Money to the Westeros Captain in order to get the word out there that a young girl was on her way to westeros in the morning.

  2. Then she chooses an open spot to try and avoid an easy death check after the fight. (Bridge)

  3. We can assume she knows enough from training to figure the waif will attack to the body. So I believe she has 1 or more pigs blood pouches around her body. She knows where and how to do this because last episode...she saved the actress. The actress then provided her help to make the scene on the bridge large and realistic.

  4. She then leaves the water and leaves a trail of blood....to lead her enemys to her. Expecting an unarmed (because she choose not to show needle during the fight scene) and injured girl; they will instead walk down a dark alley and be met with an uninjured girl who knows how to fight in the dark and carrying a sword.'
@Tree13

Probably this. I do wonder whether the nature of the faceless men might lead to some oddness though, perhaps Arya in that scene isn't who she appears to be?

why does everyone seem to love arya's character so much ? she's dry, her story is dry, the assassin stuff is dry... she's only slightly less lame than Bran and yet she's like the most popular character judging by teh internets. I can only assume it's because loads of pre-pubescent nerds are in love with her or something ?
Possibly only book readers love her? She's a badass.

has he? Fair enough then. Bit silly that, really

I think it was when Arya went blind? At least thats what the internet says, I long since binned that series off the recorded list on sky and have never bought the dvd.

Well this thread has me rethinking my level of annoyance at the end of last episode.

Just sensational Telly that, if these theories are true.
Yep...

I reckon if that supposition is correct - and I'd warrant it is by the sheer subterfuge and sleight of hand involved - then this series is about to become one of my favourites thus far.

There will never be another TV programme/book series quite like this.

Glorious stuff.
