Felli over Baines?

Ovideo seems a like for like replacement for Baines to be honest, but I'd rather we add just the odd loan or freebie for now, or a small signing, £1m or so, and then wait and see if we can finish top 4/5 before deciding to cash in on perhaps Fellaini in the summer and re-building. £15m might be high for a left back, but it's ****ty for Baines isn't it? He's pure class. And an Evertonian and probably our best most consistent player and we'd miss him a lot. I'd prefer we keep Baines until he's 35.

I'd rather we sell Heitinga for £5m than either Fellaini or Baines in January. We have Duffy waiting in the wings and could sign a cheap replacement.

Seeing as Fellaini is our top scorer, no, i don't think him being played up front has lead to a lot of draws. Without him a lot of those draws would be losses.

But thats the Cahill excuse though.

Maybe if Fellaini played deeper, and for instance Naismith played behind Jelavic between the 2 of them they'd have scored the same amount of goals as Fellaini and Jelavic but we conceded less due to Fellianis presense deeper on the pitch therefor we turned 2 of those draws into wins and are 4 points better off in the league.

Ifs and buts yeah but footballs never as straighforward as it seems.

Spot on.

The Status Quo gang will disagree though

Don't think we'll sell either in jan but if we don't get champs lge then there is no debate as felli said he wants champs lge so he'll be gone in the summer. Saying that if we had to sell in Jan then i'd sell Felli because Baines is so much more consistent and a lot harder to replace.

It's not really an excuse. He asked me if i thought Fellaini was responsible for a lot of our games being draws rather than wins. I don't see how anybody can claim that when he's our top scorer. Somebody can sit their and say 'well if he'd played there and so and so had played there then maybe', but that's certainly not enough to blame Fellaini. The only certainty is that if his goals were chalked off we'd have a lot less points on the board than we currently do.

Give it a rest, Jesus Christ. The fact most people seem to disagree with you says more about your opinions than there being a 'Staus Quo gang'. Whatever that is.

Dont know if majority disagree at all. You do and a few other staunch GOT members... Is that the majority?

People agree with me mate, but tend not to go on and on like you and others.

Assists and Chances Made

65 Baines
51 next best in PL

All others in top 8 midfielders or strikers.

That is all you need to know.

No I didnt ask you if "he" was ressponsible. I asked if you'd agree that it had led to alot of draws......which it has.

You cant argue with that.

Thats like saying if Jelavics 6 where chalked off we'd have less points. Terrible shout
