We paid £15M. If there is a sell on clause that would mean we pay Liege say £6M out of a possible fee of £30M - that still means we paid £15M but we would receive £24M for the sale.

Your calculation is that we would make £3M out of the deal when in fact it would be £9M in the example you have given.

No he wasn't. I think you forgot to take into account BK's sticky fingers which would lead to us recieving only £3M if that.

Any way.....£30M would be way to little IMHO......easily a 40M player by todays standards and he is still young.

I think that's called a massive assumption, I don't remember seeing anything about a 20% sell on clause.

In any case, a sell on is always on the profit, we paid £15M, if we sold for £25M they'd be due £2M @ 20%. (not that I think you're right btw)

Sounds astronomical if you ask me. I'm sure people will take it as gospel though and cite previous transfer complications as evidence though sadly.
