20% sell on to Standard Liege remember.
Sell on clause on Fellaini, so we sell for £30 million, we hand over £6 million of that to Liege. meaning we actually paid £21 Million for him and selling for £24 Million.

We paid £15M. If there is a sell on clause that would mean we pay Liege say £6M out of a possible fee of £30M - that still means we paid £15M but we would receive £24M for the sale.
Your calculation is that we would make £3M out of the deal when in fact it would be £9M in the example you have given.
You are double counting!
Common knowledge, well I thought so.
Hence when Fellaini was a guest of Real Madird pressident at a Classico last year (or maybe year before), the Standard Liege Pressident was also in the part, with Zidane!!
Doesn't take a genius to see why he was there !!
Neither was Pienaar or Lescott or Arteta but look what they became. Felli is right up there among the best midfielders of the PL and he is that bloody good. If there's one player I'd compare him with, its Y.Toure but Fellaini offers much more.
Sounds astronomical if you ask me. I'm sure people will take it as gospel though and cite previous transfer complications as evidence though sadly.20% sell on clause seems a little high given we paid SL a handsome fee in the first place. If it is correct then it's bad bad business on our part.
