Fellaini wants to leave Everton?

How has this developed?

Last time I heard anything about it Fellaini was writing on social-media websites saying that he's happy at Everton.

Has anything else been said?

Nothing has happened since, apart from Moyes trying to calm everyone down AND at the same time, not lose his own credibility by telling lies.

Fellaini said it. Whether he means it is unknown.

Can't see Fellaini being booed. It would be pointless, what, are we going to boo someone every time they play for the next 4-8 months? Everyone just needs to forget about it. Let's just concentrate on trying to have a really good season.

It's been widely reported, of course they'll know he said it.

Yeah, I actually think it's the taking to Facebook and twitter to say he's happy bit that people won't know about, as the media went from 'wants to leave' to 'bidding war' without reporting that bit particularly heavily!

As a player, you're told not to take the bait from journalists in either your footballing future or your personal life.

I think this Fellaini revelation has come as a massive surprise to Moyes and Everton and caught them of guard. He's been brilliant since the season has started and there were no signs of unrest or unhappiness.

I guess that Moyes would have fined him and told him to keep his mouth shut. The thing is, if Everton get a good offer from him in January he'll be off.

I don't think that's what has happened. Clearly he's had his head turned by his Man Utd performance, suddenly thinks he's big time and is personally angling for a move in January.

The problem is he's done it far too early.

He really can get f***** as far I'm concerned. All I hope is we can still get a decent price for the pillock.

Sorry, I just think he has no respect to the club and Moyes (Peter Reid said this too).

If he wants to leave so be it as long as Moyes can use all the fees to strengthen the squad.

He's a mercenary but then so are 90% of all players nowadays... It's a shame but no real surprise...

Just because he doesn't want to stay at Everton and win no trophies (except for the seventh place cup) for the rest of his short career does not make him a bloody mercenary, it makes him a sensible person.

I don't see how anybody can criticise the lad for wanting to leave in any way, his dad has been pushing him to go somewhere else for years, and he could have walked away then rather than signing a new contract last year meaning we'd be in the same situation regarding his desire to leave, but would end up getting a lot less money for him.

The one mistake he's made in his 5 years of service for Everton is making a silly remark about this being one of his last seasons, i think we can forgive the lad that after everything he's done for us on the pitch. I mean look at Heitinga, he's been lifting up his skirt and winking at other clubs for years but the majority on here still like him because he's an honest guy and a good player. Fellaini gives one bad interview and people are telling him to 'get f***ed' ? The mind boggles.

Other posters were spot on when they said Judas by Christmas. Kenwright must be buzzing.

The thing is, if he wants to leave he should talk to Moyes behind the doors and certainly not to some [Poor language removed] jounos.

I agree, i said from the start that if this came out as true it was a very stupid thing to say, especially seeing as the transfer window had just shut.

However, one slip up in 5 seasons.

Fair enough but it seemed like he had said that, he did not deny it.

Everyone said Pienaar was 'a sensible person' and look how that one turned out.

Fellaini didn't exactly turn up against WBA did he?

It would be nice if players committed to Everton, with a real genuine intent (not just lip service) to win a trophy with Everton

As opposed to players who want out less than 1 year into a 5 year contract with Everton.

Fellaini is entirely to blame, and no, I'm not going to 'applaud' a player and call him a 'sensible person' for acting in the manner that Fellaini did. There's too much of this, 'oh well, we're only Everton, it's to be expected' s***e. Yeah, we have financial limitations that leave us vulnerable. Doesn't mean our highly paid, long term contracted players can take the piss and bail any time they want on a whim.

We need to draw a line under it, and no, I'm not going to boo him. At the same time, let's not get giddy and start praising him for wanting out, eh?
