FELLAINI GIVE FIVE YEARS EVERTON. HE GOOD ENOUGH PLAY FOR MOST TEAM. DISAPPOINTED HE SAY THIS TO PRESS, BUT HE DESERVE TO PLAY FOR TROPHY. JULIO NO BOO HIM. JULIO JUST GLAD WE HAD FOR SO LONG. LIKE ARTETA.

I can't moan to be honest. I was absolutely certain he'd not sign a new deal and either run his contract down or go for a cut-price fee.

Whilst signing a new deal of course meant a lot of dosh for him, it did us a massive favour as he signed a 5 year one. It does put us in a strong position financially speaking, and I think Marouane has been pretty decent about it. He knows like we all do that he really could play for almost any team in the word, but instead of refusing a new deal and going on the cheap, he's allowing us the chance to get a good fee and some kind of reward for the massive amount of faith that was put in him at the time.

Of course his comments were disappointing, not for their content but for their timing and public nature, more than anything. But I think it was more a case of him not thinking rather than deliberately trying to engineer something.

I'm sure he will stay to the summer, so he can pull his finger out and help us try and get Europe.

Shame as £30 million for Moyes would see us push on I'm sure he would find a quality replacement and strengthen in other positions also.

The problem is our finacial situation.

The timing was better than it would have been if it had been at the start of the transfer window! I think Felli has been OK about it. Don't forget he's stayed with us despite what must have been great pressure from many, including his own father. We might be able to hold out for 40 million, and in the summer, not Jan, and the guy is a pro so I still expect him to be committed to the cause until he goes, whenever it is.

obviously gutted because he is my favourite player. obviously i could say no player is too good for everton blah blah, but from what i've seen ver the past two seasons, he is by far champions league quality, if he was playing for a champs league team he would be world class rated. lets be honest here, we are not competing for trophies and are not qualifying for europe atm, who can blame him? what is good is that moneybags teams like chelsea and real madrid are the interested parties. hopefully he'll stay for at least this season and help us qualify for europe. i never expected him to spend his whole career here so this news was partly expected, bit out of the blue now, but he will try his hardest for us for the remainder of his everton career. when it comes to selling i would be bitterly dissapointed if we get less than 30 million for him. he controls games on his own, and we have a great team already, with that money we could but his replacement and extra quality all around the first team and backup to help improve. we should be qualifying for europe this season one way or another and with an extra 30 million to that team we could because a real force. just need to look at the positives really, any evertonian who didn't expect this to happen one day would have been foolish

When he goes, it'll be for £17m, and people on here will say how it's good business to buy for £15m play him for 5 years and sell him on for a profit. Nowt I can do I suppose. This is the modern game.

What irritates me is the constant rebuilding to stay where we are.

yeah well said, his dad has been a right [Poor language removed], but comparing felli to lescott is laughable, he's a good pro, he just has ambition to achieve great things in the game and sadly that would never be achieved with us whilst we're failing to even qualify for europe

Reading between the Lines Moyes is obviously furious with him to say that. Kendall highlighted last week how Felli's game Dipped alarmingly at West Brom, a fact I am sure which did not go unnoticed by Moyes in the dressing room afterwards. I reckon they had the usual big row which would have blown over but for the internationals and Felli's gone away with a sore head and sang like a canary.
