Fellaini wants to leave Everton?

The transition from Arteta to Fellaini has been a painful one, a massive downgrade, and an unaddressed problem. Central midfield creativity has been sacrificed for 'physical presence'.

Well done for winning a few headers against United. I have never seen Fellaini:
tackle well;
shoot convincingly; (especially from distance)
take players on;
unlock defences - I'm talking through balls, balls over the top, anything clever;
he lacks intelligence, pace, poise, guile, awareness, and simply quality.

Letting Arteta go for less than we paid for Fellani was criminal. We'd be a far better team if we could swap them.

What a crock of sh!t

Think we all knew he was off, just didn't expect him to come out and say it like he has.

Let's just get on with it. Personally think Fellaini has been superb for us during his time here. Tbh, I expected him to depart during this summer, but gladly we managed to keep on to him. Can understand him wanting to leave. The lad has ambition and can play at a higher level than what we're currently at.

He'll be off next season, I'm almost 100% sure of that. Why not tell him he'll be allowed, but this season will be all about Everton. Will be fuming if he leaves in January.

Article in mirror from interview with Moyes

But Moyes said: “I have got no problem if other clubs start circling for my players. None at all.

“What I do know is that they can’t come in and take any of my players until January and we are only in September.

“Whatever happens now, whatever Fellaini says, he is here for at least the next four months.

“He might be here even longer than that, I don’t know.

“What I do know for *certain, though, is that *Fellaini has got a five-year contract here.

“So clubs can circle, but the window has just shut, and we’re in a strong *position as far as his *contract is concerned.â€

Why we don't we just call ourselves Coventry and be done with it.

Laughing at ginger bollocks: 'we're in a strong position - he's signed a new contract'. Yeah... £12M for Rodwell says differently.

And I find his words about having no problem with other clubs swooping for Everton players both disgraceful and alarming.

You never fail do you

What's he supposed to say?

"Our players are not available at any price"?

So you want the Everton manager to lie to the fans, so that when Fellaini is sold, you can all **** him off even more?

Once again, you're blaming the manager for being a realist, blaming him for something he has no control over. You think Moyes wanted to sell Lescott? He made it perfectly clear he didn't. You think Moyes wanted to sell Arteta with 4 hours of the transfer window remaining? You think he wants to sell Fellaini, who he persuaded to sign a 5 year contract less than a year ago?

The player is the one who wants out. There's zero we can do about it. Yeah, let's persuade him to stay.... GET REAL! Some of you are living in cloud cuckoo land, and taking out your disappointment on Moyes is ridiculous.

The best thing we can do is exactly what Moyes is doing - tell the truth; calm the situation for now, and get through to January. Then if someone wants to bid £30m then (you know, like the RS did for Carroll), then that's up to them.

But I find it ridiculous that people **** Moyes off for telling the unpalatable truths, that are thrust down on him by the people running the club. If you must have ire, aim it at the people responsible. I.E. the player who wants out, and the board whose finances will allow it to happen.

Think its inevitable that he will go, but as long as he plays his part and gives his all this season that will do for me in the short term. We did good business in getting him to sign a long term deal (and to an extent I think he signed it to ensure we also got a good fee if/when he leaves). We will have had him for 5 seasons by the time he goes (if that is next summer) and I think that's reasonable when you consider he is a foreigner, and his ambitions will pull him towards playin the the Champs League etc. If/when he goes, as long as we get a good return on him, we can still move forward (the only thing is I think we'd need a couple of quality players to replace his versatility).

Felli has had previous for these kinds of antics; his dad's been agitating for him to move to United or Chelsea for a couple of seasons. I'm gutted, but I've always trusted in Moyes to reinvest any money he's given well. Thing is, if Felli goes at the end of the season AND so does Moyes (the very fact that he's stalling on a new deal is setting a precedent for players who might be angling for moves tbh), will his successor get that money to spend, and will he spend it well, whoever he may be?

Fair point here. I too and concerned that Moyes doesn't seem to be committing to a new contract, mainly because I don't know who we'd get to take over his position and work within the constraints of our club. If he is stalling that's bound to have an effect on players who are currently looking at their own future at the club.

Geez chill guys he's a class player signed a new contract recently and we all know he is good enough for champions league I support who ever wears the blue top and I love the big guy.

If he goes he goes nowt anyone can do, we are everton we have survived without him (before he came) and we will survive when he leaves no one player or manager is ever bigger than Everton FC
