FA Cup Draw - City V Arsenal semi final

Arsenal have been lucky in the cup this season. They have never played there strongest team at any point and have beaten Spurs, RS and us. I just hope RM learns from this mistake he has made, and play his strongest team when you play a strong team. Playing Robles against QPR and Stevenage and Swansea's B team, was ok but against Arsenal no way. The cup is in the bag for Arsenal now, and it could have been us. The way the draw has planned out now, only 6th place will get us into Europe. Manu and spurs will finish above us, so same old story as with Moyes, we could finish 7th and get no Europe.

sorry, can't agree with any of the points you've made

That's because we have a log jam in the shape of the fat headed fraud and his spiv Spurs mates looking for their pound of flesh. Even that cant last forever though.

bill's got plenty of years left in the tank like. wouldn't bet we'll see silverwear anytime soon.

They have been lucky in terms of being at home in all their rounds, plus they should have lost to the RS. Robles playimg yesterday had no bearing on the result. In any cup run you need breaks and they have gotten them. City losing today just capped it. If they don't win the cup from here then Wenger should sack himself. Wigan then Hull (without Jelavic and Long) or Sheff Utd. Absolutely gutted as we would have walked it had we won yesterday. Even a draw would have been enough as we'd have smashed them at Goodison.

So a premier league side who finishes 7th and had to play 38 tough games to finish there will possibly miss out on europe to a league 1 side.

Someone wrote this on twitter. Spot on IMO. I just find it ridiculous.
I agree entirely. This won't do anything for the European co-efficient for English sides, either.

The key is a stadium build. Get that done and a deal to the liking of 'the best Evertonian ever' and his fellow parasites can be seriously put into play. But not before.

We just better pray someone actually approaches them with another scheme and that this time it gets through to the first sod being turned stage. That could take another five years...maybe sooner. Who knows.

Never forget the date: Christmas Eve 1999. The day a blight was let loose on Everton Football Club that would last the best part of two decades.

We were screwed in the qf draw, really.

I thought at the time it was the worst possible draw and so it proved. When you think we could have got a lower league team or sunderland reserves instead it really does make you sigh.

Just bad luck. It#'s the league cup that really gets me, really.

Still if someone like Hull or Wigan ends up winning the cup, it kind of makes you glum that we can't do it.

Mind 6th is Europe and that should be something we're entirely capable of given Spurs and Utd's form. Just need to put the cup behind us and smash cardiff all over the show.

I don't think our form is anything to write home about either!
