gutted yesterday, didn't think we'd win there, but thought we might get a draw and then beat them at goodison....can't afford to waste the chances we did though, and playing Robles was a massive mistake (unsettled the backline too much, losing jageilka was already a big enough blow)...

The PL has 3 Europa League spots: 5th place, FA Cup winners and League Cup winners.

If the League Cup winners qualify for the Champions League the EL place goes to the team that finishes 6th
If the FA Cup winners qualify for the Champions League the EL place goes to the runner up
If both the FA Cup Finalists qualify for the Champions League the EL place goes to the team that finishes 7th.

I think that's how it works.

but we deserved to lose to arsenal. if we were robbed then it would be more dissapointing. pissed off at the fact we drew arsenal at their place in the first place and then turned out an average performance, we didn't really throw it away though. just lost to a better team away.

You are not the only one. We are stuck In a constant loop of teeth kicking failure with no glimmer of daylight. I am honestly not interested in the rest of the season as I currently feel at the moment. Just too many gut wrenching missed opportunities from the kings dock onwards FFS!
