Right, you both make the same point.
If, if if.
He doesn't get the plum seats because for whatever talent he showed early on, he scuppered his own career be being a bit petulant/not a team player.
Yeah, Vettel got lucky. But he was quick enough to make the most of his luck.
As for he'd win as many titles as Hamilton in the Merc? We'll never know.
The hate he gets is a disgrace. It’s embarrassing how much he is maligned by people in this country in particular. He’s incredibly talented and is the ultimate professional.People are allowed to think what they think of course but Hamilton has done really nothing wrong in his career or life to get that much hate directed at him. From a personal point of view I've got to celebrate 99 wins and more decent examples of driving. Everton have struggled to give me that many happy weekends in that time frame. Some of you guys are missing out on possibly the greatest sportsperson to come from these shores.
Lewis stepped in to Mercedes when they were newcomers to F1 and propelled them to where they are now. It was very brave to leave McLaren at that time, with most people in the sport surprised by the decision. He certainly didn’t walk in to a ready made championship team on a plate. But Schumacher was the driving force behind rebuilding Ferrari. Lewis just walked in at Mercedes like he walked in at McLaren. Lewis is the best driver of his generation, but lacks the all round skills of Schumacher, who was a real leader. He even laid race wins on a plate for Eddie Irvine when he came back from a broken leg.
Very true, never saw Jim Clark race only started watching when Mansell was driving ( probably still my fav driver that red 5 will always stick in my memory) but when you listen to the older drivers they put Clark up with the very best there’s ever been that includes Schumacher and Senna. How long have people tried to compare drivers for and we come to the same conclusion that u cant ever prove your theories withevidence.
Just enjoy the battle of today. We will see who is the best driver at the end of every year. Whether that is skill, or decision making based on what machinery they are driving.
He brushes off the point about Verstappen having the opportunity to give space on the apex, but that's actually very important with this - because Hamilton has drew near enough level going in, Verstappen has to redress his approach IMO and not just defend the racing line, because there's a car there.
Take his head my dude.He couldn't resist.
No he didn't. He walked in after Schumacher and Rosberg had done all the donkey work developing the car.Lewis stepped in to Mercedes when they were newcomers to F1 and propelled them to where they are now.
