Tucked away in the slap on the wrist that Chelsea received is the news that they also infringed Academy rules . “ Chelsea have also been given a nine-month academy transfer ban, imposed with immediate effect, relating to offences between 2019 and 2022.’. We felt the effects of our 2 year ban for quite a few years , not sure exactly what their infringements were compared to ours but it still leaves you shaking your head about the impartiality there is in football.

Can you make judgment calls on impartiality around punishments when you don't know the differences in the infringements?

Indeed, shrug and move on. A substantial number of u16s in the squad , 4 u18s regular at u21, usual crop of injuries with Gokah and Clarke particularly being a miss, it’s a good overall picture when we know we’ll be delighted if 3 or 4 make it to the first team.

I would be very happy for you to delve deeper into this and give us your view.

I don't have a view on whether there is a disparity or not as I've not delved into it at all and have next to zero understanding on the framework around it all.

Hence I wouldn't make a call on impartiality or 'shake my head' about the perceived lack of impartiality.

As you said yourself you're 'not exactly sure what the infringements were compared to ours' so I was merely asking how you can make the necessary judgement call to be shaking your head about impartiality.

Not sure but seen it enough times from different people to think it's possibly true. Plus if he was signing you'd have expected it by now.
