I think Song will play ahead of Denilson aswell, giving Arsenal a bit more height and power. Wenger will know how strong we are in the air. Wouldn't surprise me if Diaby's included aswell, maybe outwide with Arshavin or Walcott pushing upfront.

I'd go for Rodwell in midfield and Neville at right back for this one.

Anyone think we should play Timmy in the hole. Looked the goods against ireland this morning. We gotta be careful of walcott, he was the reason we went down at the emirates imo.

i expect........

..............howard
hibbert yobo lescott baines
...............neville
osman cahill .........pienaar
...............fellaini
.........saha

..............almunia
sagna gallas silvestre clichy
.................song
......... fabregas denilson
bendtner......................arshavin
...............van persie

both clubs have a bit of an injury list (ours will look a lot better by the end of the month- yeehaa)

pienaar and baines will rip sagna and bendtner to pieces
arshavin and clichy will rip hibbert and osman to pieces
center of the pitch i think we will physically out muscle them although they will look to pass it about quickly and have a fair bit of possesion in that area.
van persie wont get much of a free view of goal but will get the odd sniff .
the arsenal cb pairing are gonna have a tough task on there hands dealing with fellaini and saha.

score : 2-2 - cahill , saha , and arshavin(2)

key man : tony hibbert , he has to be on top form , im positive arsenal will be attacking his area as much as possible.if he puts in a 'hero' shift and contains arshavin , we will win.

ref lescottt : unless he goes on strike i think moyes will play him .
he is still an everton player and still getting paid. i would imgine moyes would want him to atleast be proffesional while his future is sorted out. if he goes on strike then i expect rodwell to make the starting 11 in his place .

aftermath: massive confidence boost if we get a result . but either way the rest of the month is much easier (looking at the teams , i cant see us losing a game tbh) , with injured players coming back and possible new signings i really think we are gonna be looking in good shape by september 1st.the lescott/defence issue is a concern though.

why does everyone think arshrussian is going to score.

5-0 to the blues lescott, lescott, lescott, lescott pen, arsharussian own goal.

So having had all summer to sort out an issue we have all known about for ages.....we do nothing! Sort that right side out DM/BK.

This is a tough tough opener for us and if we have weak links that are continuously exposed, then we will not get anything from the game.
However, if the boys defend correctly and KEEP the ball instead of hoofing it or giving away cheaply, then it's a minimum of one point.

Arsenal are getting back to their best with forward play and unfortunatley our defence is a rather disjointed mix of possibles and maybes.

We'll win this one.

Anyone who says we wont wants a good thrashing.

Call yourselves Evertonians, you bad bonzers.
