If he plays well he's almost unplayable at times. They don't score a lot of goals though, and their defense isn't great.

We take an early lead though of one our more accomplished players, and then the opposition take the game by the scruff of the neck as some colored player runs riot through our defence and scores four goals while the defence takes a trip to the Bermuda Triangle, and just for good measure another player adds a fifth while no-ones looking.

Failing that, probably a 1-1 draw, usually when we take a beating at home by a North London side on the opening day we tend to have a good season, remember 1984? Of course you do.

Cahill is in ireland with the aussie side, so don't know how he will pull up since that game is only two days before the start of the season.

I think we have got a fair chance, there defenders aren't that great, the game will be won in midfield. If there's fires we will be in trouble. Big game needed from whoever plays in the middle. Prediction. 2-2.

I've been deluding myself over a repeat of that formula for years, but thus far it's never happened.

tough to fill a sub bench with either of those but lets not forget we can make 3 at the most, gosling could come on for osman if we're winning, vaughan could come on for osman if we're losing. hibbert is there for cover. baxter can come on for saha or jo.

i'm going to stay optimistic and say 2-1 to us. pairing rodwell against arshavin (he cuts centrally very well) will show massive confidence in the kid, and as against liverpool, i do believe he'll rise to the occasion.​

I'd go for Nev and Yobo as CB, Nev looked decent enough against Malaga and Rodwell hasn't been too convincing in defence what I understand from the reports (I've only seen the Malaga-game).

Neither Fella or Chaill will be and out and out striker but will be playing "in the hole" to get some flicks on for Saha and make runs into the box.

I predict a 0-2 loss but I hope I'm wrong.
