Everton V Wolves

Ghost, I've been accused of a lot of things but "not getting it" where Everton are concerned is a first.

The fact is I do get it.

Apparently you don't watch too much English football then?

Anyone can beat anyone on a given day. If you add our current domestic form in, then no, there is no "[Poor language removed] opposition" for us. Every team is a danger. Yes, even Stoke, Wolves, and Hull.

The sooner you understand this concept, the sooner you'll understand that there aren't any walkovers in the Premier League. Just ask Liverpool or Chelsea today.

I don't accept that this is one of those games, and it's a tough game to win. Bollocks. We beat Wolves, We beat Stoke, or there is no point us going forward.

It's not good enough mate, it really isn't.

Villa and Sunderland are both decent. Stoke and Wolves are both [Poor language removed].

Then perhaps too many Evertonians have too high of expectations for their club in spite of the players we're missing.

I stated before the match that we'd nick it 1-0 when people were saying 4-1, 3-0, etc....

Now why is that?

Maybe supporters don't understand that our current form sucks and that there are no easy games for us right now, or at least not until Moyes get things sorted and/or we get a few of our top players back.

Why is that so hard for people to see?

They just think, "Oh, it's Wolves so we'll walk all over them."

Here's a fact that you folks need to get through your head. Until we get Jags, Pienaar, and Arteta back in the side, we aren't "walking over" anyone. It's going to be a dogfight every match.

The sooner the supporters come to that conclusion, the better.

Then that's YOUR problem. Not mine.

Give me a shout when you come back to reality.

It's Stoke and Wolves mate. Stoke and Wolves. Both teams we should be battering.

Our over reliance on pienaar imo is a major factor in his few niggles and injuries cuz we expect 50 % more from him these days.
Cahill imo should get a bit of stick,he has been in the soft spot for a while for no reason at all with his PL performacnes much below par. Why not give gosling a start??

You have to tell Moyes to drop Osman to the bench and at the moment it ain't going to happen!

Sadly for us at the moment Pienaar is a must, as I hate to say it too many of our midfield player either has a defensive mind or they could only score goal when chances are created for them.

Unless Moyes is planning to finally teach them how to build up attacking play without Pienaar and Arteta, then expect us to drop points whenever we are not playing well.

Agreed!

What? prior to those two games we had scored 14 goals in 5 games, winning 5 our of 5.

And I haven't got a clue? Seriously?

Yeah, we've really hammered some teams huh? Portsmouth comes to mind. Oh yeah, Wigan too.

Fact is we haven't really fired on all cylinders at all this year. You know it and I know it.

Until we start to, there will be no easy matches. Sorry.

On our current form, you couldn't be more wrong.

Sorry mate, you just haven't got a clue here.

I have to agree with you as well, on our current form and without a creative player like Pienaar, there is just no easy game for us at the moment.

I just pray to god either we have Pienaar back, or Moyes or Round has figure a way to teach our player to build up attacking play without them.

Otherwise I expect us dropping more points against Bolton next week, if we are still on bad form!

its not our current form bill, its our tactics and team selection.

we should be beating these teams home and away. no excuses

Pienaar and jags and mikel are surely missed but thats no excuse for shitty performances, Its 11 on 11 at k.o and our players are much better than this.
We ain't liverpool who need that girlpants and stevie who to create and score.
Atleast we should try playing decent football. Even if wolves can deal with the long ball then every team can. Sorry moyes, your 2 month experiment failed and who have to get this complecency out asap and stop rotating this much cuz its just not who you are.
Look at wigan if you need to cuz even when they play bad, they play it on the ground which looks more threatning than hoof ball will ever look

Oh whatever.

Fair enough your right.

Everton have been [Poor language removed] all season, are not on an unbeaten run of 7 games, and teams like Stoke and Wolves are as good if not better than us.

We don't have quality players in the side. Oh please can we have Arteta back, I don't like it.

Jesus H!!!!

Good point today lads well done, and as for the Stoke game, tough match that, a point is a good result. Will go a long way to us getting Europe again.

Because beating teams like Chelsea and Arsenal are two a penny.

Time to chin up guys, come on it's early days and were better off now than we were last season, and this time yes we are missing many players but we CAN do it without them, when we will start though is another thing, but i can feel it coming, today's second half performance was brilliant, just lacked that tiny bit!

If Pienaar is back for Benfica we can get ourselves back on track COYB!

Oh and don't forget, the ref was actually pretty bad today, and im not saying that just cos we didn't win either.

Team selection?

I'm not sure that many ahead of the match would have argued for a different starting line up and formation than what Moyes started with.

In hindsight, I could see a lot of people clamoring for something different.
