Everton V Wolves

Then perhaps too many Evertonians have too high of expectations for their club in spite of the players we're missing.

I stated before the match that we'd nick it 1-0 when people were saying 4-1, 3-0, etc....

Now why is that?

Maybe supporters don't understand that our current form sucks and that there are no easy games for us right now, or at least not until Moyes get things sorted and/or we get a few of our top players back.

Why is that so hard for people to see?

They just think, "Oh, it's Wolves so we'll walk all over them."

Here's a fact that you folks need to get through your head. Until we get Jags, Pienaar, and Arteta back in the side, we aren't "walking over" anyone. It's going to be a dogfight every match.

The sooner the supporters come to that conclusion, the better.

Our form going into the game was as good as it has been all season, was it unbeaten in 5 or 6? With 4 or 5 straight wins before the Stoke game.

Sick of the 'ifonlywe'dhadX' excuse. These are professional footballers, they're BETTER professional footballers than the side we faced today, they should've won and they didn't perform. Maybe if we stopped blaming dodgy knees and instead took stock we'd be able to produce performances we dont have to be ashamed of.

its not our current form bill, its our tactics and team selection.

we should be beating these teams home and away. no excuses

I agree, tactic could be part of the problem but when you look at it, we are not playing a unfamiliar formation and even without creative play, it's not as though we don't know how we normally attack.

Whether or not form was the actual problem, but it's certainly part of it and we certainly played badly today, and it was a bad result and that's all to it!

Team selection?

I'm not sure that many ahead of the match would have argued for a different starting line up and formation than what Moyes started with.

In hindsight, I could see a lot of people clamoring for something different.

Strange that because many people were again questioning the 451, and why was Fellaini on the bench yet Osman plays?

We looked better at 442 and better with Fellani on the pitch.

Here here.

Oh whatever.

Fair enough your right.

Everton have been [Poor language removed] all season, are not on an unbeaten run of 7 games, and teams like Stoke and Wolves are as good if not better than us.

We don't have quality players in the side. Oh please can we have Arteta back, I don't like it.

Jesus H!!!!

Good point today lads well done, and as for the Stoke game, tough match that, a point is a good result. Will go a long way to us getting Europe again.

Because beating teams like Chelsea and Arsenal are two a penny.

Alright now.

You don't need the sarcasm with me. I understand where you're coming from Ghost.

I wasn't saying it wasn't a winnable match and that there aren't teams that we can't beat. It's just that right now, it's a bit harder that it normally is for us. Fortunately, it is something that can be remedied. Keep the faith (even if you are disappointed with the overall performance today.)

Yeah i'm disappointed, but because we have quality out there, more than enough to beat Wolves and Stoke, so bottom line is, the performances in those 2 games are simply not acceptable, and they never will be.

Im massively disappointed, more than most as I wont get to see another Everton game this season and it was a [Poor language removed] send off all things considered but some peeps reactions are amusing.

It will still piss me off tomorrow about the points dropped, and on Monday - but by Tuesday I'll be looking forward to Benifica.

Rant by all means, but some of you need to stop being tits.

Hey, you're right.

Let's just go down the fixture list and look for the teams that we're "better" than and chalk up three points.

It doesn't work that way. It's never worked that way.

Newsflash: There are eleven players on the other side of the pitch that are doing everything they can to win the match, regardless of their skill level compared to us.

Any team can have a bad performance or a bad result and WE ARE NO EXCEPTION.

(What is it about Everton supporters that think we shouldn't draw or lose some matches that on paper, look like an easy three points?)

I laughed when their player kicked it onto his own head and got us a corner! And when Howard lashed out on that geezer xD

The starting formation was definitely the problem, playing a supposely a weaker side in the Premier League and at home, we should be taking the game to them.

We should have started with two striker upfront and not let them come at us so easily. Moyes should have admitted his tactical error by bringing on another striker in the first half, he should have been more decisive.

and who are you referring to?

I'm annoyed and rightly so.

The team was good enough to win, but too many are not doing it. We are becoming too reliant on certain players and there absence is obvious.

Was pissing myself at their player kicking the ball into his own face.

The paper plan competition on the Gwladys at half time was superb too.

See, its not about the footie - although it considerably helps.

All of you spitting the dummy out mate, you're acting like tits.

We had better players than them in every department on the pitch today but it just didnt happen, no invention or urgency - its cool, Moyes will kick them up the arse and it will come back - along with our best players returning from urgency.

Chill man.

Mate we pay a lot of money to watch Everton, plus shirts etc... I think we all have a right to be pissed off.

Especially when we have to endure that long ball hoof to the shortest players on the pitch.

Agree with that. Good form is simply just around the corner, and let's hope it comes just at the right time. COYB!
