I think my frustration lies more in the fact that the match officials didn't see any of it. I expect my players to do all they can to keep the opposition off balance but if they're caught, then they're caught.

Yeah it's frustrating enough when they miss something obvious, but when they miss multiple infringements by the same player it's infuriating. Happened to us loads of times in the Championship last season.

Nevermind whatever is said after the game, it's whats being done. Given the merit of last week i can understand fielding this team, and there probably are reasons unknown to us to starting with the XI we had today. I for one will not be questioning Moyes just yet, but there certainly is a lot of things to sort out. We damn better be handing out a real spanking to Brentford. And if we fail to score at the Cottage (which we often do), we'll drown in [Poor language removed]. It's already neck deep. What else can be said, eh? I'm mumbling into my pint glass Come On You Blues. Until next week.

We also cant be doing a Wenger and whinge about it.

To be honest...we've turned into a tarts team, getting fouled all over the shop but not doing it ourselves.

The only one who puts it about is Fellaini.

Good point.

Time to start throwing some weight around on the pitch.

Absolutely woeful performance, no passion on the pitch whatsoever. The referee was diabolical too, where do the F.A find these people? Howard was the only player to put in a decent shift today.

For all his faults, I think many today are finally recognizing the benefits of having Neville on the pitch.

He would NEVER let us hang our heads or mail it in.

FFS! Even sunderland can get 1-1 draw at home against Arsenal after going 1-0 down! And we can't even do it against a sh1te team like Newcastle... What a load of BS!

Honest question here: Why is Fellaini playing farther up the field than Arteta? I started following Everton last year, and I seem to recall when those two played together it was the other way around: Fellaini more DM and Arteta more in the attacking role.

thought the same thing when i saw the formations. i think it was to counter heitinga's defense. either way johnny should either slide back to cb or sit on the bench. felli is much better in a defensive midfield role, where he can follow the attack rather than leading the charge

Yep

Weird how we can all see things like this but the man in charge can't. Baffling.

Match report - Terrible selection. Compounded by bad performances by nearly all the players.

Osman - love or hate him, is not effective on the right either attacking or defending.
Hibbert - Limited at best. With these two on our right one arm is tied behind our back.
Heitinga - Played in the world cup final as a centre-back, should be there for us.
Fellaini - Plays very well as a DM with the play in front of him.
Beckford - Unfortunately looks 2 seconds off the pace of Prem football mentally. Amateur stuff.
