Yes mate, if Ross continues to be brilliant every game it will cost us big time.

I mean, at what point do you class people as insane?
jesus if newcastle hadn't give us two pens and scored their sitter you wouldn't be buzzing off ross so much. at 1-1, ross messing around in the box rather than passing it is more of a liability than kone doing nothing but run himself into danger.

Cleverley was blowing hard after about 70 minutes. I'd have personally brought him off for Deulofeu and given Barry the job of solely protecting Oviedo and let Del stretch them to force them back.

To me, it looked like Martinez was afraid to twist. It paid off, but barely - that Mitrovic chance goes in and it's a different story. It was unnecessary pressure on us for me.

Good post

Townsend is not very good is he?
I just cannot believe Newcastle have given him a 5 and a half year deal @ 55,000 a week.

You can't believe Newcastle signed [insert overrated player with questionable attitude] for [insert 2-3x fair market value] for [insert LOL thousand pounds a week] ???

The Newcastle board, players and fans are all made for each other. Hope they rot in the Championship.

Said it before his game away from the box was brilliant last night, he looked like a top midfielder again every time he charged forward with the ball.

He never had anyone to pass to because spent like 15 seconds trying to set himself up for a shot every time he got near there lol

eh?

Ross didn't 'mess around in the box' at all last night. There were two occasions where he hesitated to shoot which is a shame, but our other players were in a position to win the ball back/all Newcastle could do was hoof it clear. He played the entire game on the front foot. Kone playing himself into trouble cost us a lot more as our players were up there supporting him, and then Newcastle could counter quickly. Talking tosh there mate.

I trust Ross with the ball. I don't get worried when he's on it. He knows what he's doing and last night proved that.

We played well yesterday. That chance came from a good cross and a bad bit of defending from Mori. It's all they created though and if they'd have scored I reckon we'd have had the ability to come through it.

Stoke will be a huge test but they've hit a bit of a slump so hopefully we can take advantage.

Same team for me, bar probably Baines for Oviedo and I imagine Lukaku will be out. Can't imagine Niasse will be fit to start, so unfortunately looks like Kone will be the one.

Cleverley looks 10x the player on the left though. Allows him a free role and he switches with Barkley superbly.
