We done what needed doing. You can see that the problem is confidence as we've seldom got out of games what we deserved, although the granted we brought it on ourselves sometimes.

I don't reckon it will be the start of some magical run as there's still that anxiety unless we are two nil up. Better teams will take advantage of it.

We need a run desperately and the league is tight enough to climb it but we're just as capable as dipping against Stoke on Saturday.

Good game for Barkley and it was obvious to anyone watching he was trying to make stuff happen and influencing the game, being brave enough to try some risky stuff then taking responsibility at the end to sink the two penalties, with a panenka just because he can.

What am I trying to say?

Lol @ these:

Ross problem. If he is having a good game then he becomes too much of a cocky so and so.

He likes to think he is the big I am in the team, grand when he outs it in the top corner but not so good when he loses it for no reason

Too slow to make decisions Ross.

Ross is having a shocker. Him and Coleman.

Barkley needs to come off.

The manager needs to be grabbing Ross and telling him to pass the ball and not keep going for goal every time he gets it.

Cleverley was blowing hard after about 70 minutes. I'd have personally brought him off for Deulofeu and given Barry the job of solely protecting Oviedo and let Del stretch them to force them back.

To me, it looked like Martinez was afraid to twist. It paid off, but barely - that Mitrovic chance goes in and it's a different story. It was unnecessary pressure on us for me.

Would seriously hate to be a Manager, where the tinternet come,s in...

But you are 100% right mate, hic, hic!

Cleverley played well made some great runs and intelligent forward balls...

Lennon worked his arse off and was fantastic

Barkley showed he really is world class a shame that super save stopped a very sexual goal

Kone was doing very well holding up the ball and maintains pressure but had the finishing of an incompetent 90yr old

I'm happy with the win, of course, but I don't think we were all that. We were very sloppy at times and lost the ball a lot.

I was frustrated to see us get the ball to the by-line and no one in the penalty area to cross to. One time Cleverly was jogging in
like he was out warming up.

Whinge over.

Pipe down. When we beat Newcastle last season after like 2 months you went in a vaulting exercise and ignored all the games we lost before then.

Go and start another wool thread.

Ross was brilliant but if he does.that every week then it.will cost us but time. Not every team is as bad as Newcastle.

Looking at the table and Saturday's fixtures, the chance is there to close in on the European spots as 3 points at the Brittania will lift us up to 8th providing Spurs beat Watford, possibly 7th till 7.30 if our beloved neighbours have a shock slip up against Sunderland and Southampton get a result at West Ham in the teatime game

Was at the game and just fuming at the meffs screaming for him to pass. Who to?? Movement was poor all around him for the most part and when it wasn't, he played someone in or had a good shot.

Really maturing well and those pens were class.

Yes mate, if Ross continues to be brilliant every game it will cost us big time.

I mean, at what point do you class people as insane?
