When we kept missing those chances and hitting the woodwork early second half, thought Everton were going to break my heart again and let them back in the game with a soft goal from a boot up the park. Glad you proved me wrong blues.

Great performance. Defensively very good. Clean sheet, 3 points. All good from tonight..

Much better in the second half, Kone looked up for it and while he should have scored, he made a huge difference in holding the ball up for the others. Never going to be a natural goalscorer but can be decent occasionally. Maybe the new striker coming will kick him up the arse a bit.

Unfortunately we still have some fans who would rather abuse the players than enjoy the good performing win.

I expect you to be out tonight getting absolutely ruined, you've got two yearly occasions to celebrate: your birthday and a home win.

I got so ruined on my 18th I fell asleep on the train, didn't know where was when I regained consciousness, wandered around for a while before attempting to drive a JCB home if I ever found out where I was. Luckily there were no keys in the JCB or I would have started building the M25 four years early!

That tops my 18th.

Lennon motm, Barkley close second.

Comfortable home win, happy days.

Geordies have pissed a considerable amount of money up the wall by buying Townsend. Shocking player.
