think the cleverley thing is a little odd tbh, i mean i like him as a player and even i admit in the middle he has been so poor there. I would assume if you open up the thread about signing him, 90% of anyone posting probably thought he was going to take that left position up in the team, sure he did in august as well? I'd keep him in there, give him a run and make it his own position.

I think he's a bit lightweight for a central birth, particularly in our team which lacks a bit of punch. Cleverley's problem throughout his career has always been it's not been clear what sort of player he would be. A bit of a jack of all trades. I think playing him higher up on the left gives his a clearer objective and one he can carry out better.

Aye, he is just invisible in the middle but seems to link up really well out on the left.

is this a weird reflection on the job Osman did for us for so long? haha

Pipe down. When we beat Newcastle last season after like 2 months you went in a vaulting exercise and ignored all the games we lost before then.

Go and start another wool thread.

Ross was brilliant but if he does.that every week then it.will cost us but time. Not every team is as bad as Newcastle.

Was at the game and just fuming at the meffs screaming for him to pass. Who to?? Movement was poor all around him for the most part and when it wasn't, he played someone in or had a good shot.

Really maturing well and those pens were class.

It's like they want him to mess up so they can continue with him as the focal point for their ire.

Really weird behaviour as he's one of the best young midfielders any of us have seen at Everton, and he's a local lad and a blue.

Would you be arsed with having to put up with them every second week for a prolonged period of time? That's what worries me, no coinicedence that Barkley tends to play better away from home.

I refer you to the post I've quoted above. Clueless and sadly supports the same club as us.

haha you dont have a football opinion unless you want to make yourself look clever without actually saying anything, remember newcastle last season when you vaulted me because we beat them and we were going to win loads of games and stuff? Yeah? Still waiting mate.

Ross problem. If he is having a good game then he becomes too much of a cocky so and so.

He likes to think he is the big I am in the team, grand when he outs it in the top corner but not so good when he loses it for no reason

The manager needs to be grabbing Ross and telling him to pass the ball and not keep going for goal every time he gets it.

You said this in game.

Said it before his game away from the box was brilliant last night, he looked like a top midfielder again every time he charged forward with the ball.

He never had anyone to pass to because spent like 15 seconds trying to set himself up for a shot every time he got near there lol

Then this after the game. A game where pretty much every mainstream match report highlighted him as being the best player on the pitch and yet you're picking apart his game and fuming because you're in a higher footballing plane than us mere mortals.

TURN.

I do preview every week with loads of opinion and publish it to be ripped apart. So that's a tired stereotype you're playing to plums.

Let's keep this on topic at you making an utter quim of yourself, as per usual, fuming at the best player on the pitch who weirdly plays for your team.

Well in there mate. What an asset you are to the support

Are you saying @Ashtonian has contradicted himself?

I can't beleive this really IMHO

What opinions do you post in this preview? Seriously, i think im glossing over the actual personal opinion you are putting in there every week.

Things is, this isn't solely my opinion here, the match thread will probably back that up. Barkley did have a great game in his role, but looking for the shot every time he got near the box by the last 15 minutes or so kept losing possession. I'm not a happy clapper like you who just goes 'arrgghhh ross is boss lid, won us the game by himself lid' just because we won.

He was great, our best player, but still wasted the ball in the box a hell of a lot in the second half.

~Im not condradicting myself though am i? Ross was great as far as the penalty area and apart from one shot (which was saved brilliantly), he didnt hit the target himself and if mitrovic had scored his sitter then ross running into the box and not passing it would have been fumed about.
