I am disappointed. This is a poor LFC and a goal would have done them.

Yet RM could not resist changing last week's structure. We needed two wingers and a centre forward from the off.

Rom on the left is no good. Naismith runs around but lacks talent.

And Barry, Besic and mc Carthy is simply not creative enough.
Naismith tried and can also be good for a goal, but it just wasn't happening for him tonight, also is is pretty poor at holding and passing the ball.

I'll take that tbh. For the people saying it was negative, it was a step back to the Moyes era etc... It's completely unrealistic to think we could go out there and dominate them given how we've played this season. We had to avoid a beating to maintain our unbeaten run.

The last thing I wanted was a repeat of the 4-0 so yeah, I'll take it. We're still on the road to recovery.

We would have won that if ...

the manager showed he had some actusl ideas in the second half.
a 28 million striker knew how to not be offside.
our players knew how to cross attack shoot and take corners.
the manager knew when to make a substitution.
we had better players than antolin alcaraz to bring on.

Other than all that we did ok.

Liverpool fans will say the usual they were the only ones etc going to win, which shot wise they did, score wise off course not,and if colemans shot goes in think that was the winner

That's not my point. My point is that we're so pedestrian in the final third, it'd be nice to actually have a go at goal rather than pussyfoot around their penalty area doing sod all.

It's not something unique to this game.. We've been like it in loads of games

That'll do fine. Not been beaten in a long time. The "recovery" remains intact. Lacked quality though.

Hammer blow to their CL ambitions. With Southampton winning today, they'll do brilliantly to finish top 6. LOL.

Didn't play well, but that wasn't likely to happen given that we're way out of form and they press even harder than they usually do in derbies.

No headlines for Gerrard, we'll surely never see him play in one again. Massive relief.

Very disappointed with how long it took for Barkley to be introduced though. We instead of the ball coming back at us, we could have broken with some pace. Not good from Roberto.
I don't care about them.
We should have gone for it.
Our only shot on goal in the 88th minute is crazy.
No wonder we never beat them

lmao at all the people saying Rom was lazy and uninterested. was pressuring the ball across their backline, while being a huge forward playing on the wing. He got called offsides which just means he was out of position a bit. He was expected to be a 1 man attack until Ross came on
I think it's a bit of both. His service was horrible and I think it makes him drift off sometimes. I think it's more mental laziness than physical... almost like he can't believe it when the ball actually reaches him.

Come on man.

A draw isn't a terrible result. But how can you look at that game and not want better.

If wanting a win at home vs your biggest rivals is asking too much, what can we ever ask for that is reasonable?
Not saying I don't want better or that I'm chuffed we got a point. Of course I'd love it if we won, even more so at home, but looking at how we've been losing for fun this season and how the RS are in good form, would you say this result is as bad as it's made out to be?

It's not ideal, as I said, and it's not too much to ask, but really should we be this mortified with a draw? I'd loved it if our final ball wasn't lacking so much tonight, and if Naismith got subbed off at HT (for the injury and cuz we need a creative played in the middle for that to work), but I can't say I'm extremely disappointed to the extent I'd boo him. Last time out we went out to kill, and got punished severely for it, we learned that you can't really do that in the derby and adapted, if you get my drift.

if Lukaku looks like he isn't doing good enough.

IF? Absolute [Poor language removed] would be more apt, and he has the first touch of an elephant fact

Besic was on a yellow and looked like he could get another, and alcaraz has proved he's useful in the box if we get a corner...Mirallas has never been fit enough for more than an hour, hoever well or crap he's playing. Naismith worked his bbbbbbbb off again. Lukaku, no much service, did a lot of running. Barkley, one good pass to Coleman, but still stands off and won't tackle. We are becoming safer at the back...Lennon will do well for us.

No, the manager sucks and should be fired. And lukaku didn't run 'cause he was lazy! Naismith has no talent, Alcaraz is as static as the prison, Barkley changed the game and Mirallas should have been fired after that penalty!. Don't you read this forum???
