Happy with a draw. Sunderland drew as well as did Hull so it was important we did not let our competitors gain on us. Palace got 3 points but at Leicester's (who are pretty much dead and buried) expense. Villa losing also helps us . Fingers crossed that Burnley and WBA fight out an unexciting draw tomorrow.

...we've had reverse situations. At this point in time they are better than us, at this point in time they will beat most sides. I thought we'd have one chance, we did but the end result was ok. We asked for attitude, we asked for commitment and we got it. Chill you beans the rest will happen.

Will it? Been waiting for it "to happen" all season.

swerving this thread for a few days, can't believe people are going on about Rom being lazy and not running, must have been too busy fuming about martinez in this thread they weren't watching properly

Some positives such as Stones, coleman, mccarthy, besic and barkley.

Two major negatives for me were naismith and barry. Also would have liked to see lennon and mirallas on the pitch at the same time.

Barry and naismith though...how does barry get a game and why wasnt naismith off for barkley sooner?

I think we wil see the same against chelsea.

if Lukaku looks like he isn't doing good enough.

IF? Absolute [Poor language removed] would be more apt, and he has the first touch of an elephant fact
  • Would be nice if the ball wasn't pumped up to him from 60 yards away
  • He wasn't asked to play on the touchline
  • There was another Everton player within 20 yards when he received the ball

Only thing you should legitimately criticize him for today was how many times he was offside.

Rom lazy [Poor language removed], he may actually be worse than jelavic for offsides
Did you actually watch the game mate? I'm so over people calling Rom lazy, it's just an easy cop out because he didn't dominate or score.

We play way to slow going forward so he's constantly surrounded by opposition players when he gets the ball. Martinez's tactics and most of the other players do him no favours. Yet he still works incredibly hard. He chased balls he had pretty much no hope of getting the whole game, put pressure on the Liverpool defenders and chased them down all day.

How could Rom of worked any harder? I'd love to know some examples. Being off side isn't one either that isn't due to lazyness, his never called for coming from an offside position. It's all just down to him not timing his runs well enough. That's just something we'll have to work on with him.

I don't care about them.
We should have gone for it.
Our only shot on goal in the 88th minute is crazy.
No wonder we never beat them

We're in sh** form. If we'd have gone for it, they'd have torn us a new one on the break. They are the form team in the league. We needed the front three to use the ball a bit better and the full backs' delivery to be on point. They produced some of the worst crossing I've ever seen and Rom spent most of the game in an offside position. That said, Barkley was needed in the second half, the way it was panning out.
