Best chance in a long time for us to absolutely do them over today.

Gutted we didn't execute various opportunities.

I don't think it is an exaggeration to suggest we could have had them by 2 or 3-0 today if we had been more aggressive.

Looked like Besic went straight down the tunnel so maybe he'd taken a knock or was carrying a minor injury!

To be fair many on here have been dreading tonight and expecting us to get spanked by 4/5. We went out to avoid that, and played quite well first half, without really creating much. They came at us second half, and although they were on top and we played poorly for the most part, they never really looked like scoring either.

Barkley on 15 minutes earlier and we could've won it with a moment of magic, or lost it due to a switch off.

We're playing much better than we did through December, but nowhere near well enough. We're conceded far fewer, and once the attacking play improves we'll be heading in the right direction.

Odd. Really odd.

Liverpool seemed to dominate the first 30 mins of the 2nd half, but never really looked like scoring, whereas we looked a bit, (a lot?) disjointed at times, but were a final ball away from getting in.

And I feel really sorry for Rom.

But a point, and the Gerrard circus is now finished. At least with us involved in it that is.

Postives
----------
Robles isn't half bad
McCarthy looked good and strong
Lennon is fast
Besic is Besic
Good defending

Negatives
-----------
We could have played for 7 hours and not scored.
Enough of Barry now. He's awful these days.
One shot on target? Ok mate.
Oviedo is not Baines/Garbutt.
What's the point in Everton at the minute.

7 hours?
well then #ALWNV

I think it was a case tonight don't lose it,which we done with ease against the team top of the form table.Apart from the shot that hit the post,Coleman had the next best chance,we had a difficult run Palace away,Liverpool home and next Chelsea we could easily lost all 3 and we now have 4 points,so scrape a point at Chelsea I'll be well pleased. Then the euro games and Leicester at home,we can start to crack on,I would like though to see Kone given 20 mins if Lukaku looks like he isn't doing good enough.

lmao at all the people saying Rom was lazy and uninterested. was pressuring the ball across their backline, while being a huge forward playing on the wing. He got called offsides which just means he was out of position a bit. He was expected to be a 1 man attack until Ross came on

They had 17 shots to our 6. Didn't get them anywhere in the end today, but I'd quite like us to actually have a go like...

...we've had reverse situations. At this point in time they are better than us, at this point in time they will beat most sides. I thought we'd have one chance, we did but the end result was ok. We asked for attitude, we asked for commitment and we got it. Chill you beans the rest will happen.
