Meh, happens. Palace were frickin awesome though, must say. Martinez got it wrong for me, for second time since he took over (Anfield being other one). Move on now.
Spot on Jags. Credit to Palace. At the present, they are defo a top 10 side in the PL. Mind you, it's been a pretty shonky bottom 10 this year lol

Why are we so piss poor at corners, both attacking and defending???

We might as well give the oppo a goal kick than us get the corner cos we do fu*k all with them.

Oh how I yearn for Andy hinchcliffe

Can I just say, what a wonderfully inventive last 20 minutes from Barkley. Yes he got it wrong a few times, but his pass for the second goal was sublime as was his lift over their defence for what should have been the equaliser (don't know how we failed to knock that in -- we've got to have far more conviction in those situations).

I think he was the key to us losing in a way.

He had all the ball in the moments we needed to pick a pass or set somebody free in space, but he is still young and as we all know is still inconsistent and not so hot on the decision making.

But the example of the lift over the defence is what we have to look forward to. I'm happy we give such responsibility to a homegrown talent even if we will lose out at times because he is still learning. (unfortunately have to tell you the pass for the second goal took a huge deflection, looked sublime but wasnt)

Team needed rotating. We couldn't have played our strongest side tonight and then Sunday. Bobby took a risk and unfortunately it didn't pay off. Don't think Barkley was out of position just think he wanted to play like gerrard and spray passes everywhere, that's not his game. Made up for Naismith tho and osman, 2 of the scapegoats this season and they came on took the fight to palace, which is something palace did to us from the 1st minute. Baines' positional play for the 1st goal was shocking, he had a 3 yard advantage over bolassi and then just let him stroll past. Mirallas may have scored but he was shocking as was deulofeu, both greedy little sh1ts. Felt sorry for mcgeady, he looked like he was trying to do it on his own on the first half, probably 2 out 12/13 occassions he didn't beat his man. I love john stones.

Roberto made an error McCarthy should have started, our back 4 was left exposed too many times a gap which Palace to their credit exploited to the full.
Lakaku was having a torrid time he appeared to be a yard short of his normal pace, this after having taking a knock early on
For me Naismith should have come on for lakaku and McCarthy for Mcgeady. You can always expect a freak result during the course of a season, Sunderland and Palace have been ours.

I only listened to it but conceding 3 goals at home to Palace is very poor. And Stones was nominated MoM, which makes it even more difficult to fathom.

I know we're only a point behind the Gunners but we're relying on them slipping up now. It will take a big performance for us to beat United on Sunday. Arsenal's game is losable, and hopefully Hull will want to put a marker down for the cup final, but I'd expect them to do a professional job and come away with the points.

We've then got a much harder game away at Southampton than their home fixture with Newcastle. City at home is tougher than West Brom at home. And Hull away is certainly no easier than going to Carrow Road.

Hopefully the difficulty of our games will help us to raise our performance levels and Arsenal will struggle to contain robust, scrappy rivals. It does seem like the pendulum has swung in their favour though.

sorry to bother you but did you used to be called airbourne blue on another efc forum ?

Arsenal fans relived with that result.

The same side that were top of the league before crimbo... Now fighting just to stay in the top 4 with little old everloan .

Enjoy it.
They were actually top in the 1st week of Feb by 2 points,10 above the 5th place position that week ,and were top i think it was for either 12 or 16 weeks in a row lol before xmas, they went in free fall the last few months

The reason the rs are were they are because of poor ref desicsions you look at that ref tonight he was shocking not just the refs fault but he was shocking I dread Sunday with that other clown ref doing the game.

Why is it we can't dig deep and pull the results out/win ugly? Show some [Poor language removed] courage everton [Poor language removed] sake. Disgrace. Winning 7 on the bounce then losing to this shower of [Poor language removed] at home. Lukaku and Mirallas need telling off for that performance, spoofers.
We won ugly at Sunderland...it doesn't always happen. City drew a 'must win' at home tonight. Its just football. Arsenal are fragile, and could panic if they go a goal behind to anyone...the result v West Ham was good for them, but Hull could be bad.
