Hello all Palace fan is Oz here. Got up at 4.30 am to watch the game and glad for the win. Promptly texted my mate Dave in Perth to rub it in. Hope you guys managed to crack fourth spot and keep the Arse out. Always had a soft spot for the toffees ,always liked Z Cars when you come out at Goodison , plus remember that guy running on the pitch at Wembley in the 66 cup final, Oh and Alan Whittle. So all the best for the rest of the season and hope we get six points off you next season.

Game could have gone either way....they had four shots and scored with three. speroni made two top class saves and we missed a few reasonable chances...just wasn't to be.

On the positive side just how awesome is John Stones!
Agree stones looks a player.

just got back from the match, a tad disappointing but we still have 4 important games left - roll on to next sunday. COYB!

F***k me, what had you been drinking before setting off back home!

I just bought the away top today. I now consider it to be hugely unlucky and so will sell it tomorrow having never worn it!
Lol I don't think you should do that, it's not good to be superstitious. I must say though, I'm very very surprised you guys lost today, conceding 3 goals against CP at home is an open-handed slap after that formidable run of 7 wins. I wanted Everton to win today against Pulis and then drop points elsewhere instead.

Bottled it again

I don't know why I even let myself believe

Anyway, Europa League could still be in our own hands. Perhaps we'll manage that?

Good first season for Bobby. Something to build on. Hopefully he'll have a proper bash at the League Cup next year and we can see Everton win something

This is our level though I feel. For us to get Top 4, we need every player to have a top game every week, for us not to suffer injuries and for us to have some luck. Sadly, we had some below average performances and didn't have much luck

We can have some good wins here and there, but we'll always be where we are unless we spend more money, and that isn't happening anytime soon.

Let's try and finish strong. 5th is disappointing when 4th looked possible

Look at it this way though, we've advanced so much that 5th is a disappointment. Progress has certainly been made. Let's just hope someone rich buys the club or we finally get that new stadium

One of the worst things about blowing up like tonight when the going gets tough is that it allows all the media boys to say 'we told you so'.

Of course we've done well. But the reality is that this was our big chance. Like the RS having to win it this year or never getting so close again, so we will not get so close again, since whilst the PL has been exciting this year, the actual quality at the top has been poor but will undoubtedly be much higher next season once Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal and City open their cheque books again (maybe Spurs too should they finally get a good manager).

McCarthy in the starting line-up every time if fit. He seems to be the glue that holds the framework together. Weird tactics but I think I understand why Martinez started three dribblers so to speak, he knew palace would not let them play their usual free flowing game. But tactics did not work tonight twas a shame though really looking forward to seeing Everton playing the very best in Europe next season. Could still happen though and hope it will

It's my fault we lost, lads. I always wears Jeans + T-Shirt + Jumper for midweek games. And today I only wore T-Shirt + Jeans. I'm truly sorry.

If the mods feel it only right to ban me, then I completely understand.

It's this way forever till someone buys us mate

Even if we had got 4th this year, things would have been back to "normal" next year

New owners or new stadium. Until then, we just need to keep doing the best we can with what we have to hand, and if we're lucky, win a cup at some point

So close, yet so far. The torture that is being an Evertonian
