What make's that result and performance even worst knowing if we won,is knowing were would have been 3 points from certain europa at worst,2 points above arsenal, and with city dropping points,we would have been 2 points from 3rd with them to play lol, only everton can go and frustrate you at the wrong time, just when we get ourselves into an unbelievable position, from an incredible 14 points behind in 7 weeks, thats not Everton like that to come from that far back.anyway well done palace and has we have been proving lately we have been finding the likes of Sunderland,Swansea,Fulham,Cardiff very hard to beat,so we should have no problem beating man utd then, footy is a funny game were anything can happen when you least expect it

RM: he (Lukaku) reported a pull at the end of the game so were going to have to assess him first thing in the morning. It's too early to say what but yes of course it's a worry but this squad has proven time and time again that there is quality in it to step up to the job.
he actually held his leg early in the 1st half, and half expected him to come off then, surprised he carried on from that moment myself

Can I just say, what a wonderfully inventive last 20 minutes from Barkley. Yes he got it wrong a few times, but his pass for the second goal was sublime as was his lift over their defence for what should have been the equaliser (don't know how we failed to knock that in -- we've got to have far more conviction in those situations).

Put stones up there.
...that's the spirit!.

I am now at work and have collected my not considerable thoughts.

The All Black coach once articulately annunciated, after a (rare) poor performance ,"we'll just flush that result down the dunny and move on" : suggest we Evertonians do the same. It is STILL game on!

can I also just say that if we had a CF like Bony we'd have won the game. Lukaku just doesn't cut it for me. He didn't have one attempt on goal in 90 minutes, never got anywhere near any cross (in fact was more often outside the box when crosses were coming in), and rarely discomforted their defenders.

I seem to remember him forcing a quality save at the near post out of Speroni...
