I simply think our failure was purely down to the selection. If we keep McCarthy and Barry together. Naismith got a start ahead of one the Del boy or McGeady then it would be a easy win for me. Our starting lineup was too offensive ...in hindsight...
Why in 'hindsight'. Not where I was drinking beforehand. Nearly everyone of the dozen or so in my group was astounded by the team selection and feared the worst. The main question on hearing the side was simply 'Why'.

Why do you do this to me Everton? You teasing, devious temptress you.
To be fair though we have ground out a lot of results of lately when maybe we didn't deserve to win.
Hopefully this will be kick up the arse the team need in preparation for the return of the ginger one.

Yeah 6 points off moyes will soften the blow a bit

RM: he (Lukaku) reported a pull at the end of the game so were going to have to assess him first thing in the morning. It's too early to say what but yes of course it's a worry but this squad has proven time and time again that there is quality in it to step up to the job.

so you base your highly rated opinion of oviedo based on how many games played left back? i think his goal against united at old trafford has clouded your judgement.
Baines is solid, pace isn't everything.

'Woy' is the media's name for roy hodgson.
my high opinions of oviedo aren't because of his goal vs utd but from what I saw defending, yes your right it's only from a few games but i dont like the way baines sometimes let's his winger past him without much of a fight

What striker do we own to "step up"? If Lukaku is out.. we are in deep cack. Recall 'Tolis is the only answer :-P

Lets all remember how small our squad is for a second, Back end of the season legs will be getting tired, McCarthy/Barry/Lukaku/Baines/Coleman hardly ever get rested
