I thought Costa was out of order when he had that jibe at Coleman after his OG and can understand why Howard had a go back. Watching match of the day and Danny Murphy complemented Costa on it. Was anyone else taken aback by this? I was quite surprised.

Not sure Murphy would have commented had it been an RS player being sledged.

so much on here about the players, but for me the manager has learnt nothing from last season. This was anfield all over again. Does he actually think we can play gung ho football against squads as good as this. Complete suicide .If bainsey and seamus are going to bomb on so much lets play 3 cb's and one out and out holder in front. At the minute we have the look of kevin keegans Newcastle to me.

Anyone with half a brain would understand that his original game plan flies out the window when we go 2-0 within 3 minutes, we had no other option but to go all out.

Costa, although being a bit snidey actually surprised me a bit. Before yesterday I didnt really hold an opinion of him. But watching him for the game, his intelligent movement, ability to work the ball and track back really impressed me, early days but I reckon chelsea have done a good bit of business in getting him.

After even more time to think about the result, I can't help but feel Mourinho has played a blinder really. He would of been more than aware of how we had shipped goals late into games v Leicester and Arsenal.

They came out firing on all cylinders intentionally, they then sat back intentionally, allowing us to exert effort to get back into the game.

They knew after an hour our fitness levels would begin to to let us down again and the errors would become more profound.

That stop onto the post was one of the most heartbreaking yet awesome saves I have seen in many a year, we were looking at a one touch team move goal of the season contender and he just grazed it onto the upright.

I'd like to say, score there and we were on for pushing a point, but with how they came back to our come backs it could've led to the game ending 7-4 (to them sadly) or something equally unfathomable.

I've read some bollocks in my time....do you really think that managers think to that degree of precision?

Chelsea didn't come out all guns firing - they were gifted two goals in 3 minutes without even being out of second gear.

Yes, actually. They have access to data you wouldn't believe. Mourinho is just the sort of manager who goes to that sort of precision, too. He always has been.

Chelsea couldn't of worked the ball quicker into our half if they tried in the opening stages. They passed it quickly and it had us on the ropes early on.

Surrendering 6 certainly seems like a freak result, but it's hard to dismiss it considering the way we have surrendered goals in our other games this season.
