What a dumb idea playing such a high line and offside "trap" (or whatever that was), against a team that's brimming with top class talent and is designed to be clinical.

Huge mistakes by the defence and midfield - WE CAN'T PLAY LIKE THAT.

Eto'o is boss though.

Are people fuming????

We were against the machine that is Chelsea. This season they are gonna wipe the floor with everyone including city!

We never gave up, kept coming back, made mistakes, did some brilliant things....not down hearted at all apart from Distin and jags are looking vunurable but we still need a couple of additions.

We can't sign Fabregas, costa, and some of the other worldies they have...

We'll be just fine not even assed!!

The reason why wigan always started off carp and pushed on near the end, for me bobby h's f'ed up our pre season and it has shown.

We would have already had our pre season arranged by moyes last season so can't give martinez credit for that. Players looked knackered and couldn't get back to help defend a poor CB pairing and we condemned again and again

I can't see top 4 either. Arsenal, Chelsea and City are almost guaranteed the first 3 places and Spurs as I feared look brilliant under Pochitino and then there's still the RS.

International break is perfect for us. Those who arent fit get to make mistakes for the national side and those who dont get picked can run around a pitch 1000 times. WBA away, a fit and hungry Everton find there form again.

Barry and McGeady were dead on their feet around 60 minutes. Barry was so far off the pace his name wasn't mentioned by the commentary team at all in the second half.
Didn't think it was at all like last week, where the whole squad looks like they've hit a wall. Didn't McGeady make that great run right before he came off?

Also Costa is definitely my new most hated player, the snide horse placenta bathing beaut.

we knew this when the RS were apparently interested last summer to replace suarez.

no idea what he said to coleman, but taking the piss out of someone for scoring an OG makes me hope that he breaks his leg again.

NEA that was up there with one of the best games I've been, Goodison was incredible. the game finished 6-3 but that is no reflection of the score line we were in that game til the 80th minute, with some of the best attacking football I've seen. the defense on the other hand

can certainly tell the people who watched the game from the ones who spent there time pretending to watch it while sitting on the internet moaning.

Is right
Added to all the above, Martinez left it far too late to bring on the second sub, and did he even use the third? Jags and Barry should have been yanked on about 60 minutes for Stones and Besic - awful man management to bring Besic on with three minutes to go when you're losing by two, there was nothing he could do at that point. McCarthy ran himself into the ground trying to cover for Barry, as did Distin trying to cover for Jags.

I think that's the reason he brought Besic on. He wanted to give him a taste of the premiership when there wasn't anything to play for.

It was an indication Martinez knew the game was done and probably didn't want to concede another. At 5-3 you could still take positives from the game especially considering we where down 2-0 after 2 mins.
