I know things have been a bit grim lately but slating our youngest player minutes after he’s probably prevented a goal is taking the piss. He’s shown more when he’s played than any of the senior midfielders who are probably earning 20x what he is and have played hundreds more games.

Of the players in our squad he should be the last target of fans anger.

Our support recently seems to have become the complete opposite of supportive.

I'm not a fan of the myth being peddled that he's been a revelation. I think he's been bang average and offers next to nothing. Evertonians seem to rate players on tackles these days for some reason. I want actual footballers in midfield not people to kick and rush. Unsworth tactics are populist, archaic and shambolic.

I'd also add gueye and Schneiderlein have been pathetic. And Davies has been far from good either but at least he still tries to do the right thing.
