Everton Brands Appointment Confirmed

Maybe.

Bt the assessment has to be a rolling one. I said above that if Mina and Gomes get on the pitch and prove they are the players who can make a difference then I'd state that Brands had a good summer.

Of course. And its a decent start, especially given the mess he was landed with.

...I think we're seeing the quality of the manager with any decent level of points. IMO he's been burdened by average recruitment.

Average?

You are actually insane, Brands bought a whole new left side, a whole new defence, an attacking option and a player for the middle of the park, plus a young highly regarded GK, he literally couldnt have done a better job.

He obviously thought we could get away with crock loan option in midfield and no striker.

Jury out for me.

He took a gamble on Gomes and Tosun, DCL and Niasse scored goals last season, he wasnt to know all 3 would struggle massively this season.

But even ignoring Gomes, hes signed 4 quality additions, 4 players that have come in and improved us for sure, with another 2 that of course have yet to contribute.

You clearly have very high standards and expected him to fix the squad in 8 weeks, this is probably why you lie on the internet about bitcoins.

Hahahahaha

If they get on the pitch and do the business like we believe they can then I'd re-evaluate that score I gave. As things stand though...

If he can oversee the signing of 2 long term players that improve on what we have got per window over the next couple I will be very happy. He has done that this summer with Digne and Richarlison, possibly 2 more in Bernard and Mina. Rome wasn't built in a day and we need to be realistic given the amount of problems we have had in recent times.

I'm very comfortable with the situation compared to last year, we just need to kick on so when prospective players look at the table they are not scrolling down past teams like Watford, Bournemouth and Wolves before they get to Everton. This will make things easier trying to get who we want believing they can win something here instead of mercenaries just in it for the cash.

I like him. In the summer he seemed to work steadily and methodically to a plan. Not exciting, but enough to pique my optimism for the future. I think a couple of decent acquisitions over the winter transfer window and I'd be very happy.

Next summer will be critical for me. He'll have his feet under the table and have had a year to put in place a plan to ship out and buy in as required. It's tricky to judge this as it could be a few seasons later when his work bears fruit. Do we as a fan base have patience? On this question I give us a -2.
