His transfer buisness looks great right now, potentially outstanding....Digne & Richarlson rip roaring successes, Zouma and Bernard brilliant additions considering they were free and 2 still to be judged, 1 of whom was our top target.

Even if they both fail, I’d say his transfer buisness has been great but I don’t think they will fail.

With Dave being a huge fan of Bobby I thought I’d compare the signings he’s beating Silva for with Bobby’s equivalent.

Getting shut of people on loan is a bit easier than getting clubs to buy. What were the conditions / deals pushed through on them? And Brands got very little in for the players sold. In fact, his failure to come to a deal with Leipzig prevented us buying more players.

I take Dave's point to a degree but you can't make such a judgement on a DOF after 4 months in the job, 4 transfer windows yes.

Gomes should be training this week and with McCarthy close to a return we've loads of midfield options now. It's up to Silva to make it all work now.

I’m sure he could have if he wanted to... but he didn’t want to... so he didn’t try to... and no, we have a player we can use but we aren’t at the moment cos we have 3 decent wingers in front of him who it’s going to be hard to displace. But he’s 21, time’s on his side - I’m sure he’s not happy about the lack of game time tho obviously.

His summer activities left us with players coming in late and with long term injury worries with two of the incomers. We should be top 6 given the teams we've faced and would have been if we'd had a dominant CB and ceative midfielder.

Down to him and him alone we're on 9 points and 11th.

He signed 7 players, 4 have already been a massive hit, 2 have yet to perform for us and the young Keeper is getting rave reviews.

Alot of the signings are write offs now but at the same time, due to the income from the league placings and balancing of books with the odd sale id say were not in such a bad position.

It wouldnt surprise me to see Lookman moved on in January and one or two others out the door with him.

Think we will see a couple of cheap signings come in and get up to speed over the course of the 2nd half of the season before another big window where we try and move on a lot more players...

Dont try and sell that summer work as acceptable never mind impressive.

Besic agent wanted a high fee so wasnt sold

Vlasic has been doing very well replacing CSKAs top player who went for north of £20mil and could be someone to play next season.

Bolasie is a total donkey...if he somehow manages to fool someone this season into buying him it will be a miracle

Mirallas supposedly has a guaranteed purchase clause in his deal

Sandro is on £100k a week so who will pay that? Only hope is to loan him and make a little cash back on the cost.

Dave I think you are missing the point about selling players
For Brands to sell players he has to find buyers for them and there were no buyers
Silva didn’t want to sell Lookman and Leipzig we’re taking the proverbial offering 12 m and then inching up to 23 m
Name me one club that would have paid a reasonable fee for any of the players you mentioned
