When you see what Liverpool done with that lad and we have done to one in particular here, offering him a place at Wade Deacon and offering the family money, only to pull out later on, after his family had already moved up to the NW is disgraceful.

That probably goes on everywhere but it needs to stop.

As ever these things are a bit complicated, but this is not unexpected and has been on the cards for a couple of months now. We suspended one of our Academy staff , Martin Waldron, as a result. Basically it involves us trying to sign up a Cardiff City schoolboy in 2016, apparently it didn’t work out as it was a “ cross border” signing, things fell through and he eventually ended up at United.
So basically United weren't caught at it

Everton that

Man City and the RS have both had similar punishments for the same thing mate. Man City were given a 2 year ban and a £300k fine for tapping up two players (one of them was from us) the RS got a 2 year ban and a £100k fine for tapping up one player.

City took an u13 lad from us, best kid in north. £250 k.....and about £20k to his parents for “expenses”. Crazy

Although we can still sign lads from abroad and lower category clubs.

So meh.

I don't think so. I thought it was prohibitted to sign foreign players under the age of 18 (see Chelsea investigation etc). Now it's possible to sign EEA players, but I think (not sure obviously; depends on the sort of Brexit) that after Brexit, it will be impossible since it would no longer be possible to use the exception in the Fifa regulations for EEA players.

Sack Unsworth immediately
Lets hope Unsworth is booted out the club.
Why do people make them selves look so foolish. If you don’t know the difference between 10 yrs - 18 year old who are part of our Academy and the U23s which Unsworth looks after its best not to show your ignorance and just keep quiet on the matter.

I'm sorry to see you endorse this culture of omerta that has so plagued our great club.

Unsworth has long traded on the glories of the Academy. As such, it is only right that he fall on his sword and accept culpability

I`m surprised Brands hasn`t sussed him out yet tbh.

Probably just waiting for the nod from Moshiri to stick the horses head in his bed.

Think they were waiting to see if he would do the honorable thing. Alas this hasn't happened, so he will be finding alternative employment very soon

Journo man seemed to think it was the case.
