Still not great, but that’s not as horrendous as an outright ban would be.

Indeed, not significantly horrendous. Also helping is that we have a few decent youngsters at u15 and u16 level, at least five have featured in the appropriate England squads . These are the years that will feed through to our Academy Scholars in the two year ban. Add a few from abroad and it shouldn’t affect the playing standards too much.

Good to see the rules still apply to Everton. Just like the penalty ban debacle, I'll be on the edge of my seat waiting for one of the "big" clubs to do similar or worse and get no punishment.

Man City and the RS have both had similar punishments for the same thing mate. Man City were given a 2 year ban and a £300k fine for tapping up two players (one of them was from us) the RS got a 2 year ban and a £100k fine for tapping up one player.

Meanwhile other clubs get a telling off.. for ruining young lads' lives (e.g. LFC fined £100K over Stoke Academy player but there's no evidence we ruined any kid's career) Just another Tony Kay moment for us.

While Man City should be fined at least 20 points and barred from the CL over the latest FFP revelations over Mancini's wages.
