You can say things like that about most teams, Liverpool were Gifted 10 points at the start of the season with goals coming 98 minutes or later, They'd be down there with Spurs only for that.I'll tell you what. Its a good job we've been lucky away from home. Otherwise we'd be in the doggy.
Its called forward movement, we lack it big time. We just don't move in front of the ball. To many want ball to feet. No one thinks to spin and run in behind or midfielder fields running beyond the ball
Personal I don't think garner and gana suit each other.
That wasn't down to the ref.
What do you think he got wrong?
??Jakes red wasnt a clear goal scoring opportunity IMO mate.
That decision changed the game.
Take those chances at those points and it’s a totally different game, they were food and drink to most strikers. That 10 mins of mayhem may never have happened. The performance and the team did us tonight not the 2 missed chances
True, mate. And thank you. I appreciate you. Seriously. Helping me keep the short/term loss in perspective of our glorious history. Thank you. UTFT. COYB.Can you also fit...."Apart from all the times we've been in Europe"
Pickford is one of the best in the PL but he does have a weakness and they were exposed tonight. Wouldn't dream of having anyone else in goal for us but crossing is not his strongest point. There are many faults with the team. Pickford isn’t one of them.
A bottle perhapsGonna pour myself a nice glass of wine and watch the highlights
I thoughtbwevThe fact we played pretty well after the red card shows that we can be so much better at home than we actually are and that the cautious pragmatic safety first approach is holding us back
You cannot have bad full backs and bad strikers and expect to control and win games of football at home. Add a striker and two good full backs rather than the money we wasted last summer and this team would actually be decent.
But we won't get it right. We never do. The only people who think we currently have good full back options seem to work for the club.
That's true but I still think once they looked at it it must be given offside, he makes a play for the ball so becomes active and offside.I would say it wasn't offside but then the Villa game comes to mind when Armstrong was given offside.
The difference between the 2 of them was the linesman raised his flag at Villa but didn't tonight. VAR will try and protect onfield decisions
??
They were 2-1 up by that point.
We were all at sea. If anything, the sending off galvanised us more than going behind did.
