We were the better team, had the better chances, their second goal was offside, unbelievably frustrating and that's going to sting for the nearly two weeks until we play again on a sodding Monday night, humph.
I would say it wasn't offside but then the Villa game comes to mind when Armstrong was given offside.
The difference between the 2 of them was the linesman raised his flag at Villa but didn't tonight. VAR will try and protect onfield decisions

Agreed

Whisper it too, but we’d be where forest currently are if we had Europe with this squad
That's very hypothetical.

Forest's loathsome owner who trashed Nuno in front of the entire stadium for only qualifying for the Europa League.... (And who's dragging West Ham out the mire).

Then bins him for Ange, now Dyche's up :)

Same trajectory as us during our manager-go- round.

Qualifying for Europe would vastly improve our recruitment options.

I do accept your point we have some players not good enough for that right now... 100% But qualifying for Europe makes it easier to move them on.

We're not far off being a decent side. Tonight was a massive kick in the nuts. But we are where we are. I think we're near enough where we belong. At least we finally have some hope
I’m thinking somewhere between 12th and 10th when it’s all said and done

Thought that for most of the season

A bit like 99/2000 where relegation was never really on the cards but we spurned every chance we had to make a top half push

Shocking 2nd goal from VAR, Ref, defence and Pickford

Red Card has 2 men covering from 40yds out but still harsh.

However the finishing is unforgivable from Barry both chances on a plate just direct them. Lazy and far far too casual
