We have gone ahead in both games at home against two of the bottom three. Once against West Ham and also Wolves. Both goals scored by Michael Keane. In both games we have played one half of football and let the opposition come back into the game. I cannot remember the last time I say us play well for 90 minutes. We are a one half team and teams know when they are one down against us we usually don’t turn up for the second half.

I totally appreciate injuries and afcon but Moyes should know better a seasoned manager. It’s hindsight but in both of those games we would have been better going 5 at the back at half time and trying to hit them on the counter. Instead. We did nothing in both games and allowed the opposition to equalise. Both games we held on at the end and where the worst team. It’s just not good enough really.

I always thought that when TFG took over the club it was going to take a while to make improvements throughout the club. It would appear that we have now put the club on a sound business footing. We now have a few players in the squad who could play in top six clubs, we still have some who would struggle to make it into another Premier League team. That is progress, we are much better now than we were.
We are missing Braithwaite, Ndiaye , Gueye and KDH, they are four of our best players, all walk into the team on their return. Hopefully when they do we will have a competent right back and centre forward, that is potentially 6 different players. 6 players along with Pickford, Grealish, Garner, and two others makes a good team. A team that can pick up points during the second half of the season. Who would have taken a top half finish this season following the last few years. The top half is a big improvement on where we have been for a while. A top half finish will help us attract better players and possibly a better manager. We are a club in transition, we are far from the finished product but we are on our way. We will certainly have bumps along the way but we aren’t looking to the likes of the FSW or Fat Sam or Sean Dyche to save us, generally I am content with the progress provided we keep progressing long term.

After his first stint I’m surprised anyone expected different from Moyes….he does exactly what it says on the tin. Overly cautious, incapable of in-game positive changes and forever putting round pegs in square holes.

Without trying to sound too generalistic the fans from abroad are hardly a hard sell are they as most seem to care mainly about the 'status' of the club they follow rather than the actual style of football being produced (I dare say most are easily pleased with what they watch) It's the same with cricket where the proper format Test Cricket is dying in a lot of countries but 20 20 is thriving even though its not a true reflection of what Cricket is about. The short attention span and instant gratification generation are getting exactly what they want but the older school fans and connoisseurs of sport tend to be underwhelmed by the shallowness of the spectacle
You're right to an extent but they still need to enjoy what they're watching. If they stopped buying viewing rights the EPL would have very little money. Match goers provide little revenue compared to foreign TV rights and merchandise sales.
