The home games are like Groundhog day. It was like watching Everton v West Ham earlier in the season. Not great but on top 1st half, opposition make a couple of tweaks, we don't and we get completely over run where we're lucky to get a draw.

We're just nowhere near reactive to when we need to tweak how we're playing. It's less noticeable away from home as we just sit in a low block for the majority of the game and we have that little bit of quality to score from a couple of nice phases of play when we venture upfield.

At home, it's static, predictable, little thought, hopeful of a bit of magic but too few players available atm to produce it.

No surprise we've struggled even more at home than usual against Arsenal, Brentford, Wolves ( with Forest the only exception ) without Illy and KDH

ye the home form is a joke

if we can sort that it’s a help

home games “should be your bread and butter”

but gotta get these players back

Was just looking at the other results from last night and every club who won made at least one sub before the 70th minute, most multiple. I’m sure Moyes would say that if he had a stronger squad / more players available, then he’d do the same, but the fact is our inability to inject new energy and regain a grip on a match that is moving away from us is very noticeable isn’t it? Half the team looked like they had completely run out of steam from about 65 mins on, but in the end the first sub only came on in the 87th.

shows the depth of the squad is terrible

It should have been an easy win. They are a very poor side and looked terrified as soon as anyone ran at their defence. We decided to shut up shop at 1-0 and got punished for it. Embarrassing really against a team that had only managed 6 points.

Dunno bout an easy win. Arsenal never beat them easly. Liverpool never beat them easly. Man utd never beat them at all.
They've improved over the last month or so. They're not the wolves under under pereira from earlier in the season.

Yeah it’s true. I mean if I looked at the row behind me and saw Nathan Patterson, I’d think twice too. It comes back to recruitment tho doesn’t it - if we were struggling to sign the players we wanted to last summer, why didn’t we bring anyone else in on loan? Why don’t we now? The “no quick fixes” mantra that’s been coming down from on high seems to suggest that loans are a vulgar way to do things, but I think they’re essential to give yourself options when you’ve got a small squad like ours. Quick fixes are fine as long as longer term fixes are being made at the same time!

I wouldn't mind seeing a stat on overall game pace throught the league, if thats something that can be done.

See how the league stands out when you look at speed, transition, intensity, pressing the opposition..

How long do we take versus other teams moving from 18yrd box to 18yrd box

But we did have options on the bench, not as many options as I would like but that would be true if we had a full squad to pick from, but options nevertheless. But Moyes just sat there, staring at his weird little screen, looking bemused. I don't understand the inactivity at all. McNeil and Barry were utter mince, why leave them out there? That was all before the red cards.
